“You know, you spend a lot of time in the air for someone who doesn’t know how to fly,” Dom says as he swoops beneath her, catching Tris on his back.
Tris finds herself clutching tightly as they make their way down to the ground. Once on land, she slips off Dom’s back and lets out a nervous chuckle while plopping onto the solid earth. Nick quickly shifts back beside her, holding her close to his chest.
“What are you doing here?” he asks, sounding very concerned.
“You didn’t come back with your grandfather, and we all started to think you may have been captured,” Tris utters in one deep breath. She composes herself and pulls away from him, looking the prince in the eyes. “You can’t expect me to just sit and wait for you. If I think something has happened, I’m going to come to search for you myself, anytime,” she scolds, finding herself stronger from the adrenalin rush.
“Okay, okay,” Nick replies calmly as he climbs to his feet to help her up.
