Chapter 14: Chapter 14: A Whole New World

The last line is scribbled and Tris has to read it a few times for it to sink in. Nick’s grandfather is alive? The only reason his father took the throne was because his own father had died, right?

This doesn’t make any sense to her, so Tris decides to keep this information to herself for now. The prince is having a hard enough time trying to work through everything else and she doesn’t want to be the one who sends him over the edge. Her plan to go back to the palace is going to have to wait though, now that she’s been given a new objective.

Tris feels eager to get Ember back, but she’s going to need help from the dragons in order to save her. They will go to the Isle of Suns and come up with a rescue plan once they have more support.
