Early in the morning, Long Lingxu who has been waiting for the sun to rise and greet him with the grim view of the attacking army that are seiging him with all they got, Yue come and greet him to gave him his morning drink and breakfast
"My Lord, you have been standing here for almost 2 hours, what are you looking at that take away your attention so much?" asked her while handing Lingxu food
"today will be a hard battle, the seige engine are started to move bit by bit since 2 hours ago, ready the man for a hard fought battle" said Lingxu looking grim while holding the tray that Yue gave him
"At once" said Yue cusping her hand and started to call for her man and gave out order to ready the man
"I wonder, why do I have this ominous feeling since I got to this place, what is this city hide that gave me the feeling to be that of a pray dancing in the tiger hands" said Lingxu to himself while eating his food slowly
couple of hours later, Lingxu come out from his quarter wearing his armor and holding his glaive proudly looking at the men that are ready to bleed for him
"Sire, Yue has already go to the east wall, and I am stationed in the south like yesterday, I hope sire can gave me the honor of leadership and lead the army while Sire watch over me from above" Said Juton tried to convince Lingxu so that he can go to the save zone rather than fight with them in the frontline
"how about you watch over me from there Juton? sounds like a great idea" said Lingxu giving thr guy a wrathful gaze
"MEN, Defend the Long Manor, spread the wings Of Long" shout Lingxu which can even be heard to the enemy line and all over the city
"MEN, THE LORD HAS GIVEN THE ORDER, SPREAD THE LONG FAMILY WINGS AND PROTECT THE LONG MANOR" screamed Yue at the same time in the east side
"MAN, THE GENERAL HAS SPOKEN, DEFEND THE LONG MANOR AND SPREAD YOUR WINGS IF ANY OF THE GARRISON UNIT KILLS MORE ENEMY THEN THE HEILONG UNIT, THEN I WILL PERSONALLY CUT YOUR SALARY" screamed Taidu in the north wall rallying his own army
moment later, the rumble of the seige towers are heard, and while covering it, barrage of arrows are being sent towards the city the arrows are so thick that it even blocked out the sun
at the same exact time, the three front of the wall commander said uninamously "Shield" and with that with precision all the soldier in the wall weild their shield making it seems like an coordinated dance blocking all the arrows
even so, some of the garrison man which did not get the same proper and harsh training of the Heilong Unit did get some damage with some of them died outright because they are late to bring up their own shield
with a pause from the enemy archer, the defending army sent their own barrage of arrows with many of them killing the soldier who is charging ahead bringing ladder to the wall to climb it
"hmm, Juton bring me spear" asked Lingxu and Juton having heard it throws a spear to him without questioning what will it be used for
Lingxu looking at someone throw the spear with precision towards someone who is slowly charging ahead with the enemy soldier
the man at which Lingxu aimed at having seen the move Lingxu do, hurriedly put his shield up but with the sheer force of the spear that Lingxu throw the shield got penetrated making the arms the held it useless the man look at Lingxu with bloodshot eyes
"well thats one commander down" said Lingxu having seen the damage he has caused, "I never expect you to actually able to deflect it though" he said again a bit surprised that his surprise attack got deflected

"the enemy are climbing up, be ready archer keep on shooting" Taidu screamed out while also readying his sword to face the incoming enemy
'I cannot fail him in here, the poison is spreading, I need to end this fast before it even spread to all over my body fuck' Taidu thought knowing his situation is looking grim by the moment
(Flashback, Noon dinner time at Taidu quarter)
"My lord, your food and drinks" said some servant who brings Taidu Food and drinks
saying a simple thanks, Taidu take the tray and started eating, while at it he also looking at the report of the last battle and not thinking any other thing will go wrong where suddenly after he drinks the hot tea something felt different
Taidu throw the tea cup away and the tea got spilled everywhere and the smell of poison can be smelled with someone who has a keen nose
"FUCK" Taidu screamed out and take his sword to chase after the assassin, but it got him no where, his quarter is in the north side and while at it he is nowhere near his loyal subordinates, and alerting them will only drop the morale and make the enemy plan works to make the defending army goes into dissaray
Taidu sits down in lotus position and started to try to expel the poison as best as he could before it spread to much, its not cultivation but more of a meditation to help his body repel the poison faster
for the whole night Taidu has been trying to repel the poison without anyone knowing, not even the Heilong Unit who is stationed with him in the north wall
(back to the present)
Taidu are seen to be slaying enemy here and there, but the burning face he have which got redder as the time goes by are seems apparent making the Heilong unit men who is keen enough to take notice
"Sire, you are burning up, I think you got wounded" Said some soldier near him while also helping him repel the enemy who swarms ahead
"I also notice it, but the enemy will not be stopping anytime soon, focus on repeling them" Taidu scold not minding his men Concern
time goes by and the North army succeed at defending the enemy to fall back for a moment and gather their men back up again
seeing this Taidu relax for a bit but because of the fighting he has done for the past morning till afternoon making the poison in his body to spread rapidly
His face who is now as red as blood tomato, turned pale and he throws up mouthful of blood and drop Knelldown, the soldier around him instantly became panicked and started to see what is wrong with their lord
"DAMN, ITS POISON" said Yongdu one of the lead medics stationed at the north wall
"Yongdu, don't make fuss, take me to the tent, and treat me there, its just an infection and not a poison
Yongdu having heard what his lord said, intantly ordered his men to grab the lord and lead him into the medical tent to get treated and given an antidote if there are any
