“Who do you think is going to win?”

Valeron turned towards King Hector who had a small smile on his face.

Not quite understanding the question, he asked;

”I would not have honored the challenge if I wasn’t assured of victory. But what do you really mean?”

”Forgive me, let me rephrase. Why do you think your steward will win?”

”Theseus asked to fight this battle, and so I have full faith in his abilities.”

Nodding his head, King Hector was silent before he asked another question.

”Have you heard of the butcher of Tehran?”

Shaking his head, Valeron inquired,

”I fail to see how this is relevant.”

”It’s not relevant perse… Just an important part of your family’s history, and also why your steward will win!”

Curious, Valeron listened on.

”You see, some four decades ago. A few years before I or any of your parents were born. Theseus was still an adventurer and bodyguard for hire known as the butcher for killing his opponents in the most painful ways possible.”
