Chapter 9: Forbidden Zone
'Why am I … so sleepy?'
Villian somehow felt really exhausted. Not only that there was no motivation from using [Spirit Channeling], he also wished to sleep right now.
'Am I that tired?'
This is his first encounter with sudden drowsiness. He realized that he already uses [Spirit Channeling] three times today. Excessive uses of spell makes you out mana. In addition to the craziness that had happened to him, made him really really tired.
Villian uses his remaining mana and transformed it to his feet. He uses skill [Launch] and jumps so high in the air. One of his most favorite skills to get out in any given situation.
The forbidden zone guardian is surprised when sees Villian several meters in the air.
The reddish brown sabertooth tiger smiled mockingly and laughed at the guardian. The guardian responded, sharpening his eyes towards Villian, gazing at him with intention to kill.
Villian smile immediately disappeared. Look of dread is now painted all over his face. That is not your usual gaze. That gaze is the [Hunting Prey] skill. It tracks you after the user of the skill sharpens their eyes to the target.
But Villian worries do not last long. He remembers that the sabertooth society is an isolated one. The guardian just identifies the one that should not go back to the tribe after crossing the forbidden zone.
Well, Villian will be back with unbelievable strength. There is no need to play hide and seek with the elders anymore.
Just as he thought, the guardian does not chase him to the forbidden zone.
The dry savannah slowly turned into a view of green forest. The beginning of the turf outside of the Auroria tribe.
Deep jungle is the territory of the elves and fairies. Both races have different types of elemental magic than the saber tooth tiger. Their domain is Light and Leaves, different from the sabertooth that is Wind and Earth.
The relationship between sabertooths with fairies and elves is somewhat good. They respect each other's boundaries and at the same time do trades to one another. But not yet setting embassy to each other's turf.
The purpose of the forbidden zone on the outside of sabertooth's turf is one word. Humans.
They lived just below the deep forest. On the plains of Greenglade. Where they can actually grow crops such as rice, wheat, and tomatoes. Also the farmland where they grow sheep, cows, chickens, etc.
Villian kind of miss human food. Grilled chicken with spices such as herbs, ketchup, soy sauce really gets him going when he was Reiss in his previous world.
But now, the thought of eating a fat deer that he hunts in savannah really makes him drool a river of saliva.
The humans always want to find their way to gather everything. Boundary by their standard is a hazard area, not an area that is not respected between each faction that lived there.
If the one crossing the forbidden zone were the best from the humans, The human settlements surely encourage them to destroy another that is not in their species. The justification is that: "They are trying to eliminate potential threats."
Or so that was what old Zyrral's counselor tended to tell him.
As Zyrral, he never met a human in this life.
The drowsy sensation once again goes to his head. The sun also is almost down. Enveloping the forest with a dark color.
He tries to sleep under the foliage. Hoping that his mana is coming back to him after that struggle.
Villian closes his eyes. The curtain closes temporarily.

The reddish brown tiger wakes up abruptly.
His long ears were listening to something. Leaves rustling but it's somewhat repetitive in a short amount of time. But more importantly, a loud strange noise as multiple tigers speaking at each other like in Auroria.
The realization hits him. There were many creatures gathering in one spot in this forest.
Even after Villian slept for a couple of hours, He still did not have the energy to do [Spirit Channeling]. He would rather that he investigate the source of the sound himself.
Warming lights can be seen in the direction that Villian goes. Living things chatting also can be heard there. Who could that be?
Not long, he saw a strange yet familiar silhouette deep in the direction. A silhouette that he longed to see after all this time.
A bipedal creature wearing something on its supposed torso. A … red cloth … with trousers, and a gun in its hand. There is a symbol of a falling star falling on a black smith table on its red cloth.
A human male! Standing on one spot while guarding something.
Feeling of nostalgia washes over Villian. He never thinks that he will meet a human this fast outside of Auroria.
Villian takes a look what kind of place behind that human.
Looks like a camp. Fancier than ordinary camp. An army and a fancy camp. The reddish brown sabertooth did not take a long guess that it was in fact a command post.
There is a military operation going on here. The low amount of guard and many empty tents indicates that the ones going outside for the operation have not come back.
'This looks like an opportunity.' Villian said inwardly.
Curious. Villian sneaks in to the central command post. The one with the fanciest red white ornament painted on the outside tent.
Inside. There was some fanciest interior that he could see in this lifetime. A giant expensive table made from teak wood And with the same red white cloth with a pattern like the soldier outside hung on a pole, forming a flag.
There was a neatly made giant map on top of the table. It is roughly similar to what Auroria's depiction of outside force looks like. But this version of the map is much neater and better to look at.
15 wooden chairs with the same material tidied up in front of the table.
On one of the chairs, a human male in his late 16's sat down while reading a book, sleeping.
