A person's expectation of how the famous commander of the special hunting squad would look was totally different from what they were currently seeing.
The famous beast slayer was just a young lady in her mid-twenties. She had a slim body, long dark hair that flowed around according to the air rhythm, smooth white skin and small round black eyes with long eye-lashes.
Susan was a beauty that couldn't be overlooked. However, that wasn't the only quality about her. She was also very talented and considered a prodigy among other young psykers.
Noah had a smile on his face as he walked towards Susan after she landed back on the ground. "Did you have fun messing around with that beast?" He asked.
"It was not exactly what I expected, it wasn't entertaining because the beast was weak." Susan replied stoically and handed over the king Mantis core crystal to him.
Noah chuckled lightly."You're really a monster. It is totally absurd to call an A-rank beast weak."
"Then I'll return to New York if that's what this place has to offer." Susan said bluntly without hesitation.
Noah knew Susan wasn't kidding and meant what she had said. This is because the only reason she accepted the transfer was because their superior told her there were stronger beasts to kill here.
"It's only your first day here and you're already complaining." Noah teased.
"I don't care if it will also be my last day. All I care about is killing all these monsters."
"I can guarantee that you will spend a long time here, ma'am." Steve commented as he walked closer to where Noah and Susan were standing.
Susan's focused her attention on Steve until he stood before her before asking him to identify himself. "Who are you?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
Noah hurriedly responded to the question instead. "I almost forgot, this person here is Captain Steve of the hunting squad we rushed here to aid," Noah shifted his gaze to Steve before continuing his introduction. "And this lady here is commander Susan of our special elite squad."
"I'm Captain Steve and it's an honour to finally meet you, ma'am." Steve saluted to acknowledge Susan's authority.
"Hmmmm...." Susan nodded and walked past him.
"Where are you heading to right now?" Noah called out to her.
"I have nothing else to do here so I'm returning to the base." Susan replied as she kept working without turning around.
"Hold up, are you just intending to leave me here to do the clean up?"
"The last time I checked, I was the only one that killed the boss beast, so I handled the most strenuous task and if you think it's unfair then you should just try to become commander instead." Susan retorted before taking off to the sky and leaving the scene.

"Who are you and what do you want?" A middle-aged man in a military uniform asked a figure wearing a dark cloak approaching him but no response was given.
The middle-aged man pulled out a gun from his holster and pointed it at the figure. "Don't come anymore closer to me." He warned.
Despite his warning, the cloaked figure continued to take more steps, closing the gap between them.
The cloaked figure chuckled and said. "General Marco, you don't actually think your lousy weapon could possibly do any harm to me?"
"Fool, this isn't an ordinary gun but a modified weapon that shoots lasers which can easily kill a C-rank beast in just one shot" General Marco confidently boasted.
"You're the biggest fool if you think that was supposed to scare me."
A laser beam fired from General Marco's gun flew towards the cloaked figure but was easily deflected.
"I'm going to be very disappointed if that was supposed to be your best shot." The cloaked figure sneered mockingly. As the cloaked figure moved closer to him.
General Marco took a few steps backwards until he was obstructed by a desk standing behind him.
"I can see that you're a very strong person, but let's test your limits by seeing how many lasers you can block. "General Marco swiftly pressed a red button beneath the desk.
The alarm in the room instantly began ringing loudly. General Marco also quickly hid under the desk to avoid getting late as several laser guns emanated from the walls of the room and started firing automatically.
Several minutes later, Marco came out of his hiding after the firing ceased, but to his surprise no damage was done to the cloaked figure.
"Interesting, but it was a meaningless effort." The cloaked figure remarked.
Suddenly, the room door was forced open and several soldiers rushed into the room.
"Ha! How is this for a meaningless effort?" General Marco shouted in excitement. "Men, arrest this bastard. I want him locked up and want you to interrogate him."
"I told you before that it was meaningless for you to do anything."
Another cloaked figure emerged from the shadows and with just a single swing of her katana she slashed the soldiers attempting to carry out General Marco's orders of arresting her colleagues.

"What are you all waiting for? Kill them both." General Marco yelled out to his soldiers that were stunned after watching three of their colleagues killed in a second.
As a result, the soldiers started firing at the intruders without stopping, as all their shots were deflected.
"Misaki, can trust that you will handle them by yourself?" The first cloaked figure asked.
"Of course, I'd love to play with them senior." Misaki replied with a cheeky smile which could be seen because of the mask she wore.
"Alright, have fun but make it quick. We don't have much time."
Misaki vanished from the spot she was standing and reappeared in the midst of the soldiers. Her katana moved like a flickering spark in various directions.
The soldiers fell helplessly to the ground because they had all been cut in several places on their bodies.
However, Misaki noticed many other soldiers climbing the stairs and heading towards the room. She instantly charged towards them while dodging several laser beams aiming for her.
Misaki flipped into the air and landed with a kick to the chest of the soldier that was leading the rest towards the room.
The soldiers were pushed backwards by the flying body of their comrade that was due to the terrifying kick from Misaki.
Most of the soldiers rolled down the stairs, while a few managed to maintain their position but not for long because Misaki wasn't done yet.
In a flash she slashed them as she sped past them down the staircase, killing them instantly.
Meanwhile, back in the room, General Marco was left defenceless with the first assailant.
"Now that we're both alone once again, let's finish our previous conversation." The cloaked man spoke in a chilling tone.
"You're not supposed to be here. This is a military base and I won't be having any conversation with a lowlife like you because...Arrgh"
Marco was unable to complete his statements because he was suddenly trapped in a barrier and stabbed in the hand by a glass spear.
"Shut it, you already had your chance now it's time for me to ask the questions." The cloaked man slowly approached where Marco was kneeling while trapped in his barrier. "I won't introduce myself because I'm sure you are already aware of my identity."
"Are you that Nemisis bastard?" Marco groaned in pain.
"That's good enough, but I still don't know why everyone keep on referring to me as a bastard."
"This is because you're a maniac who only knows how to ruin and destroy other people's lives. You even have the guts to attack a fully operational military base." Marco glared at Nemisis standing before him.
"Why? Is that a bad thing? Afterall I only wanted to climb to the top and it isn't my fault that everyone is so weak compared to me. Moreover, if you guys had heeded my warnings, we would have avoided a lot of bloodshed. It certainly not my fault that you were all stubborn." Nemisis sneered casually.
"You despicable demon, don't you have any conscience for humanity? You'd willingly gain power at the expense of others'." Marco exclaimed in an unbelievable tone.
Nemisis sank into one of the chairs in the room while laughing hysterically. "I can't believe you're questioning me about considering all the nasty things you've done to get into this position. Marco, you and I are among the demons of this world but my fangs and claws are sharper than yours or any other demon."
Nemisis raised the barrier enclosing Marco in the air." I'm determined to take everything I desire and that's what I plan to do to your base including every other base."
"And you think the Italian government and the world will allow you to do that?" Marco sneered.
"That's what makes all of this fun. I would really be disappointed if they didn't do something about it but like I always tell everyone, you won't be alive to see it all happen."
Nemesis drastically decreased the size of the barrier while Marco was still trapped inside causing his bones to be crushed by the weight and pressure of the barrier which killed him.
"Don't worry, you won't be lonely because there are a lot of your friends waiting for you in hell." Nemisis mumbled while staring at Marco's corpse.
"Senior, I have dealt with them all." Misaki, who was covered in bloodstains announced as she entered the room.
Nemisis turned to look at a camera hanging on the wall. "I'll be waiting for you all." He said before turning his gaze back to Misaki. "Let's get out of here."
After both Nemisis and Misaki vanished from the room a pause logo suddenly appeared on the image. In reality, a conference room occupied by some individuals sitting at a roundtable watching the video was revealed.
