Chapter 196: Liftoff

The two helicopters were geared into action, and the large elysees began to turn. Soon, the area was filled with the noise of propellers, with strong winds messing up everyone's hairs.

The council went to see them off, led by General Smith.

He smiled, patting Kylo's shoulder. "Good luck," he said, "May this mission go well."

"Thank you, sir." Kylo said with a smile. This man was basically his mentor, a father figure of sorts.

"We'll succeed and perhaps we can find out more about this virus and how to deal with it." 

The general nodded, "Godspeed, child. Godspeed." 

Without further ado, the team separated to the two helicopters.

The General's soft eyes watched as they left, a sharp glint passing his eyes.

May you meet your maker soon, indeed.

"Everything is good, over!" The radio sounded, signaling that everything was fine in the other helicopter.
