“Trust me, Pierre. Nothing like this.”

“I’ll get The Alpha. They’re watching the news.”

Thank the gods they weren’t asleep. Etienne gripped the phone.

“Alpha Daurensbourg, what can I do for you?”

“It’s Julio, he knows.”

“Did you tell him tonight?” The Alpha asked with a touch of asperity in his voice.

“No, Alpha, I planned to tell him in the morning when Donal and Alpha Davidoff came for breakfast, but he was listening to Colin’s book and put two and two together and came up with four.” Etienne started to pace.

Armand blew out a hard breath.

Was Armand angry? An angry Alpha was dangerous.

Armand sighed, then spoke, “Don’t fret, Etienne. He’s a smart one, a High Beta, almost an Alpha in his own right. I should have seen this coming and told Colin not to bring the book. I got complacent because the book made the others receptive but not aware.”

“Frankly, Alpha, Julio is aware, and it made himangry.” Etienne paused, waiting for The Alpha’s suggestion.
