the story is copy paste from original but interesting to read. give more highlights for the mc... seems like author just force the mc to follow the original story with a little twist here and there... if can make your own arc for the mc character development so that the mc feels more alive than just an extra.

You need to fix your main character. The stories are copy and paste from the original with a random person in the background speaking from time to time.
