After the fight with Soul Eater, my life was as normal as it can get because Sukuna used my body to its limit, and I was bedridden for some days.
I am not biding my time to come up with an excuse to tell Gojo and my colleagues about how I knew the Soul Eater and why I told Megumi to remove the curtain.
As there was nothing I could do other than sleep, I entered the mind world to have some chat with Sukuna.
Nothing too serious. Well, considering it's Sukuna we're talking about, we don't know for sure if I can keep the conversation without going for a spar.
As I entered the mind world, I was not expecting to see the change in surroundings. When I first had a conversation with Sukuna, the place was dark without much to see. But now the place looked like a prison inside a ribcage, if that makes any sense, and Sukuna was sitting on a throne made up of bones and skulls.
I was quickly able to figure out the reason for the changes. When the fight with Soul Eater ended, Sukuna took back his finger, a portion of his power.
Now, as the holder of two of his fingers, Sukuna has become more powerful than before. After the fight, my own cursed energy reserve also expanded, not too large.
Sensing my arrival, Sukuna gave me an arrogant smile from his high throne. I also returned a smile.
"Seems like this place changed a lot." I said.
"Indeed, it has. The return of my fingers increase my power and I am getting closer to dragging your ass down to hell." Sukuna replied, his tone holding a hint of amusement. "You may have gained a bit more power as well, not that it matters much."
I nodded, acknowledging the subtle change. "For me, you look like the same old weakling as before, Sukuna."
"Said the Ancient Perv," Sukuna chuckled, his laughter echoing within the bone-filled chamber.
I don't agree with the nickname he gave me, but considering the fact that I am older and more merciful, I don't voice my discomfort.
If we both started to argue with each other, then we would be at each other's throats for the whole day.
"Alright, Sukuna, I don't have any intention of fighting, so why don't we sit down and have a couple of drinks." I said as I created a table then took a bottle of alcohol and placed it on the table.
Calling the beverage alcohol is a shame to the drink; it's more like an elixir than a drink. From the bottom alone, one could figure out that it's not an ordinary beverage.
Neon blue glass bottle, capped with an expensive-looking mineral. The bottle alone could make a fortune. Well, considering my life, the bottle is worthless to me, but the liquid inside the bottle—oh boy, each drop is worth a million bucks.
Sukuna, eyeing the bottle with a raised eyebrow, seemed intrigued by gift. After a moment of contemplation, he reluctantly took a seat across from me.
Even I know he wants to kill me, and he's biding his time. It's not like he's even hiding his hostility against me. As he is weak right now, he couldn't do anything to me.
As for me, I don't mind his hostility at all. In fact, in my long life, I had brave enemies who confronted me, and I respected them. And Sukuna, even though extremely evil, he is straightforward with his intentions, which only quite a few had pulled off, even after knowing how powerful I am.
Pouring the elixir into two glasses, I give one to Sukuna. He was skeptical at first, as he didn't want to drink without knowing whether it's poison or not.
"You don't trust me one bit, do you? Oh, I am hurt." I faked a tear. But Sukuna stood stoic as ever then replied.
Taking the glass. "Trust is a luxury, and I'm not in the habit of indulging in luxuries. But I'll drink it. It looks fancy enough to make me curious, and I believe you're not a coward to put something in it." I don't said anything to him as I also pick my glass and drink the beverage.
It had a slight burning sensation that turned into a cold, sweet taste; it felt like my whole body went through a factory reset. I can feel that even my physical body has been affected by this.
One might wonder how the subconscious can experience taste or even consume a drink. The answer to that lay in the the drink itself—it's an elixir, which effect in ways beyond the conventional understanding of the physical and metaphysical realms.
Sukuna, after taking a measured sip from his ethereal glass, fixed his gaze upon me. The neon-lit glow of the elixir cast an otherworldly hue upon his features.
"What is this? It's the first time I'm drinking something like this. I have to admit; it's quite a pleasant surprise. I wouldn't mind having something like this again." Sukuna said as he poured another glass for himself.
"You know it's considered polite to offer a glass to your senior."
"If you want a glass, pour it yourself. And you haven't told me what this is." Sukuna asked, more like demanded.
Do I have to get angry with the way he speaks? If it were my younger self, I would have waged a war. But the current me is living an honest life, like Deadpool.
With a small chuckle, I replied to Sukuna's question. "It's called Fairy's Curse. It's actually a favorite drink for demons and devils."
Sukuna, intrigued by the name, showed a momentary appreciation. "I actually like its name,"
"Its name actually came from how the drink is prepared. Each drop of this elixir is infused with the essence of fairies and this is also reason why it's favorite drink of demons." I explained.
"Now then, let's get down to our main subject and the reason for my visit."
