Indeed, nothing can be kept secret from the owner of the journal, Satan!
The convergence of the Nine Stars has indeed begun!
As these thoughts flashed through his mind, Nick Fury started to review the contents of the journal with his singular eye.
"What new spoilers might reveal crucial intelligence this time?"
"Stonehenge?"
The thought briefly stirred in Mouse's mind.
He carefully recalled that, indeed, Dr. Selvig did streak at Stonehenge, but at the time, Mouse had focused solely on information related to the convergence of the Nine Stars and subconsciously ignored the significant factor of the location.
But thinking about it now, Stonehenge is not just any "ordinary place."
It is a world-famous prehistoric cultural temple site.
Not only a famous tourist spot but also of great scientific research value.
Countless archaeologists have studied it.
Various theories and even legends about it are widely circulated and relished by enthusiasts.
In some films and literary works, Stonehenge is endowed with a mystical hue, closely tied to mysticism.
Talk of it being created by Merlin, the wizard of King Arthur, using magic;
Or a beacon left by aliens on Earth;
Or an ancient sacrificial site, an ancient graveyard.
And so on, the list is extensive.
Each tale is detailed as if it were the truth.
Though these legends sound absurd, or even far-fetched, many mysteries still hidden at Stonehenge have yet to be deciphered.
Especially, the exquisitely intricate construction techniques and astronomical principles it encompasses are truly astonishing.
As the Director of SHIELD, Mouse naturally couldn't be unaware of such a high-profile site.
However, Nick Fury has always scoffed at the various legends surrounding Stonehenge.
His view of Stonehenge aligns with the mainstream opinion: it is an ancient astronomical observatory built by ancient humans to observe celestial phenomena.
Nothing more!
But that was before.
Now, Mouse's perspective has been deeply shaken.
In the main universe, Stonehenge actually turns out to be an ancient magical array!
Indeed, a mysterious site!
Considering the high level of similarity between parallel universes, it's very likely that Stonehenge in his own world is similar.
What a discovery.
An ancient magical array!
Such a mystical place naturally holds immense allure for someone like Nick Fury.
In an instant, Nick Fury had secretly made up his mind.
He must thoroughly investigate Stonehenge!
No matter what that magical array is, Malekith's use of it to forge the "Second Generation Black Death Sword" is enough evidence of its extraordinary nature.
What if he could also extract something from that magical array, and replicate a weapon of the level of the "Second Generation Black Death Sword"? Wouldn't that be a major win?
Exciting prospects!
Thinking of this, Nick Fury's eyes began to take on a feverish gleam.
And as for how the "Second Generation Black Death Sword" swept through Odin and Frigga, knowing that Gorr used the Black Death Sword to kill many gods and even Zeus was afraid.
Nick Fury was not too surprised.
Although the "Second Generation Black Death Sword" is not the Black Death Sword, its name suggests that it shares traits with the Black Death Sword.
Its power certainly wouldn't be weak.
On the other hand, that Frigga could actually withstand Malekith was somewhat unexpected to Mouse.
Originally, the journal spoiler revealed that Frigga died during the invasion of the Dark Elves, and Nick Fury subconsciously believed that Frigga was not Malekith's match.
But now it seems that Frigga deserves her title as a former celestial queen!
Thinking about it.
The diary clearly mentioned that Frigga died at the hands of a Cursed Warrior, not by Malekith's hand!
But if that's the case.
Malekith is no match for Frigga, and Frigga is no match for a Cursed Warrior.
Could it be that Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, is actually not as strong as his Cursed Warriors?
Of course.
Mouse just thought about it and didn't settle on that conclusion.
After all, the invasion war of the Dark Elves is a very complicated matter and cannot simply compare strengths so crudely.
"Hehe."
"My mother, of course, was formidable!" said Thor.
Vat-Arheim.
They searched this "dark sunless" waste star for three full days but found nothing.
Whether it was the Avengers or Heimdall on the other side, they never detected any trace of the Dark Elves.
Thor temporarily returned and discussed the next plans with everyone at the temporary camp while also taking some rest.
During the rest, Thor discovered that the journal following him had started updating.
Without any fuss, he began reading it immediately, and a smug smile curled his lips.
Due to her status, his mother Frigga hadn't fought in many years.
In all the major and minor wars, it had mostly been Odin and Thor participating.
This led many to overlook Frigga, considering her merely as a celestial queen.
But only Thor knew how powerful his mother truly was!
Not only a great magician but also a great warrior!
That's his mother!
"If not for the Cursed Warrior, how could Malekith possibly have killed Frigga?"
"But it must be said, the strength of the Cursed Warrior is indeed strong, able to knock Thor's hammer away with one punch."
"Isn't this somewhat similar to the Death Goddess Hela catching Thor's hammer barehanded?"
"Even the protective magical array of Asgard was destroyed by the Cursed Warrior, truly formidable."
"If not for Loki tricking him, Thor would have likely been killed by the Cursed Warrior!"
"Is the Cursed Warrior really that powerful?" Tony Stark found this somewhat surprising.
The journal had mentioned the Cursed Warrior before.
Just from the full name alone, Iron Man could guess it was no ordinary foe.
Adding that Frigga also died at the hands of a Cursed Warrior, Tony certainly didn't dare underestimate him.
But even so, Iron Man hadn't expected the Cursed Warrior to be this powerful.
To be able to knock Thor's hammer away with a fist was something only top universal powerhouses could achieve!
As for Asgard's protective magical array, Iron Man naturally did not know.
In the civilization of Asgard, even Tony could guess the level of their defensive magic circles.
The fact that a cursed warrior destroyed these circles speaks volumes about the cursed warrior's strength. Judging from the tone of the diary, there's no doubt that the cursed warrior's power surpasses that of Thor, perhaps by a great margin. So, on his journey to Vanaheim, will he encounter foes of such caliber? Luckily, Vision has just been introduced! Iron Man believes that even if a cursed warrior does appear, they would be no match for Vision. Vision is the true powerhouse! He's the backbone of Tony's strategy against the dark elves.
"Loki!"
"This guy finally did something reliable." Another diary in front of Thor prompted him to sigh deeply. Such a formidable cursed warrior, and yet he met his end because of Loki's cunning. It wasn't easy! Loki's trickery finally came into effect. That's the god of mischief for you! Using his schemes to win wars rather than just to fool around. It seems Loki has some potential after all. It's just that it appears he has never properly utilized his intelligence.
Reflecting on Thor's many adversaries—dark elves, Hela, Thanos, and the god butcher Gorr—each was massively powerful and each extracted a painful toll from Thor. The dark elves cost Thor his mother, Hela his home, Thanos his brother, and half of his people. It's fair to say Thor nearly lost everything! Thus, after decapitating Thanos, Thor's spirit faltered, turning him into a depressed "fat Thor." It's understandable; he is indeed the most tragic Marvel superhero by far.
Aghast! The Thor reading the diary was speechless. Looking through the details about himself revealed in the diary, he found no words to counter the claims. Indeed, he must be the most tragic of all superheroes. His brother, father, and mother—all gone. And as if that wasn't enough, Asgard was annihilated, and half of his people were ruthlessly slain! Even Jane Foster, who was supposed to be his girlfriend, couldn't escape a fatal fate. Tragic! Truly tragic! Why must his life, mighty Thor's, be so filled with sorrow?
The only solace was the magical diary that informed him of these tragedies beforehand so that he could prepare and possibly avert them. Take, for instance, this particular menace of the dark elves; it had already deviated from its original course. Phastos successfully extracted the Aether particles and didn't return them to Asgard, meaning the dark elves would not attack Asgard and lead to his mother's death. "I must resolve the issue of the dark elves once and for all here!" Thor thought, a newfound determination in his gaze. After refocusing, Thor returned to the diary, his lips curling into a smug smile. So, it was he, Thor, who killed Thanos? Perfect! Indeed, it had to be him, the strongest Avenger, Thor!
But the diary mentioned that the Avengers would face two versions of Thanos in the future. Which Thanos had he killed? This question seemed complex for Thor, and thinking about it too much gave him a headache. Regardless of which Thanos it was—it was Thanos, right? And to think he used beheading as the means! That was unexpectedly his style.
Wait! After slight confusion, Thor recalled something mentioned earlier in the diary. He almost killed full Infinity Stones-holding Thanos, nearly ending the war. Nearly—there's an emphasis on "nearly." Thanos unfortunately survived. That horrific war tragically didn't end. The diary's owner had specifically pointed out that Thor had aimed at the wrong spot, hence Thanos survived. So this time, the other him aimed for the head and got it right? "So, Thanos's neck is his weak spot?" Thor conjectured naturally. It made sense if Thanos's entire body was armored, leaving the neck vulnerable. For a warrior, this was all too common.
Oh, and not to forget Zeus's son, Hercules. Thor never imagined that Zeus, whom he had stabbed through the chest, had survived. Not only that, but to seek revenge, Zeus ordered his son Hercules to kill Thor! Hercules, the formidable demigod! However, in the main universe, Hercules was a good friend of Thor and had similar experiences—exiled to Earth by his father Zeus and joined the Avengers. What story would unfold between Hercules and Thor in universe 199999? That was truly something to look forward to. Zeus had survived! Initially, Thor felt surprised, then realized it made perfect sense. After all, that was his idol, Zeus. Surviving a chest wound wasn't that strange. But could his future self really have inflicted such damage on Zeus? Piercing through the chest! Mighty Thor in the future must indeed be a super-powerful warrior on par with Zeus. Truly deserving of being mighty Thor.
