"And you think I'll let you talk to my granddaughter when I barely know you?" Seiko knew Hisagi was someone dangerous, so she wouldn't make things easy for him.
In a situation like this, they could be harmed by Okarun, who had been using cursed powers without reporting to any supernatural community.
"This is my identification." Hisagi took out his ID as a sorcerer to prove his identity to Saint Seiko in front of him.
Seiko took the ID, and as she expected, Hisagi was a special-class sorcerer at such a young age. "Well, if that's the case, and you think she can help you, go ahead and talk to her."
"When will she be back?" Hisagi asked, turning his head from side to side to see where the girl named Momo was.
"She's out; I don't know when she'll return."
But at that moment, to everyone's surprise, a female voice called out, "Grandma, I'm back."
Seiko remained silent.
Hisagi hadn't felt anything either because of the powerful isolation barriers around the house. "Looks like she returned just in time."
"Grandma, you can't imagine what happened to me today." Momo, who hadn't yet sensed Hisagi's faint presence, froze when she saw him sitting on the floor in front of her grandmother.
"Huh?"
"That spiritual energy..."
When Momo felt Hisagi's spiritual energy, it was as if a mountain was crushing her chest; for a moment, she forgot to breathe.
"You shouldn't look at people's souls so casually, girl." Hisagi met Momo's gaze, and after snapping his fingers, she pulled herself together, realizing she had momentarily stopped breathing.
"She's still learning." Seiko knew her granddaughter was used to suppressing Okarun's curse, so she naturally had a deeper understanding, but gazing at Hisagi's soul was like confronting a vast ocean—if you weren't careful, you'd end up drowning.
This spiritual energy, more than vast, inspired fear.
For a moment, Momo thought she was in front of a monster, but after he smiled at her, she asked incredulously, "Who is this?"
"You remind me of a friend..." Hisagi thought of Maki's attitude, but this didn't sound right to everyone else.
"You think I'm one of your girls?"
"No, that's not it." Hisagi tried to explain.
But Seiko interrupted the conversation, saying, "Enough, that's enough, Momo."
She knew that although Hisagi was kind, he wouldn't tolerate being disrespected so easily.
This was common knowledge—every special-class sorcerer was quite unique; each one acted differently, but they all demanded respect, and of course, they deserved it.
Besides, Hisagi's demeanor didn't lend itself to being teased by people he didn't yet know.
"It's fine; we're the same age, so she can treat me more casually." Hisagi stood up and extended his hand kindly, then said, "My name is Hisagi; I'm a special-class sorcerer conducting a unique investigation involving beings from another world."
Momo shook Hisagi's hand and nervously asked, "What do you mean by beings from another world?"
"Ugly things that come from space. The activity of these things here is much greater than I expected." Hisagi didn't notice Momo's unease, so he walked back to where he'd been sitting and drank the beverage they had offered him.
Momo looked at her grandmother, who nodded, indicating there was no need to lie.
"Well…"
"Aliens," Hisagi added before taking out his phone to look up additional information.
"I don't know much about those things, only that they're here to use women as sources of reproduction because they've lost that ability." Momo told him everything she knew about the Serpos.
It wasn't much different from what he already knew; the Serpos were only here to reproduce and expand their influence.
Since the information wasn't useful, Hisagi changed the subject and asked, "Is your friend the cursed one?"
"Which friend?"
"Boyfriend?"
"That idiot is not my boyfriend!" Momo shouted, trying to deny any connection to Okarun, but when she realized she'd made a mistake, she quickly clarified, "He's not a bad person."
"I'm aware of that. Can you call him?" Hisagi asked, having plans for these two connected individuals, whom he intended to guide and eventually take on as official disciples.
If Gojo protected Yuta, he would protect the cursed boy and enhance his skills to turn him into a weapon.
