Traveling along the horizon of different times and events turned out to be very interesting. -Hayate, why are you in your best mood on missions like this?" the fourth ANBU asked, taking off his mask and revealing pink hair shaped like a hedgehog's thorns. He also dropped a couple more phrases, "I'm personally only positive at home. In front of my family," Kizashi Haruno finished with a smile.
-Well... Then why is your positivity visible to us now?" said Hayate with a slightly tired, yet positive look.
-What makes you think that?", Kizashi raised his right eyebrow.
-You're smiling, Heh-. - answered the questioned, Hayate Gekko, with a slightly crooked smile.
-Nothing like that. You just imagined it," Kizashi said, trying to justify himself and smiling imperceptibly.
Kakashi, who had been watching this scene all this time, got bored and pulled out a book by Jiraiya and began to read the next chapter in it.
Finding the Love/Hate scene, Kakashi dives into the reading with a satisfied smile. It was quite interesting, the main character of the book lets one of his enemies live for reasons unknown to anyone. It seems their love story had just begun. Perhaps this girl seemed interesting to this protagonist. Kakashi further immersed himself in reading to learn more about the plot of the Shinobi lovers. Itachi, on the other hand, looked at the joking banter. and Kakashi reading. He went towards the river to refill his flask and to think....

Itachi, having taken off his unfamiliar Kitsune mask, continued to wash himself in the river. He began to wonder if he was doing the right thing by joining the ANBU, if he was doing Konoha any good. Maybe all his actions were wrong, and only a sad end awaited him, at the very end of his journey....

Following it, it abruptly becomes possessed, in Itachi's own body. Everything happens in the beginning incomprehensibly, the body begins to digest more recent memories. The process is completed when the whole chronology of thoughts synchronized, take each other merging into one. Itachi's mind becomes organized and he begins to come to his senses. Then a sharp headache begins. He finds his eyes burning, as if he has reawakened the mangyoke sharingan. When he decides to check and activate the mangyoke. It activates a more updated kekkei genkai, as if it was the first time he had activated it. The feeling of confusion leaves him. His mind starts to get in order, as if all the puzzles have come together as they should, while not missing any detail, from every little memory of the first timeline. Not only has he brought all the knowledge of the first timeline, but he has renewed the memories of this one...
-No... - began Itachi saying to himself. Then into action followed the motion, his legs standing up. Adding a serious look he continued, -It's not all for nothing. I will keep my word and save the world. Although, perhaps no one will know about it, in the second timeline. But the first timeline will remain in my memory. As a trace of that timeline... - Itachi finished his speech calmly, looking up at the clear blue sky.
-Ichachi are you alright?" Kakashi asked as he ran to the river with the rest of the group. We heard a strange sound, and felt something strange, like an electrical anomaly.
-I'm fine," Itachi replies with a smile, looking at all the living allies and also adding, "Just practicing on my Katon, probably overdid it a bit.
-You gave us quite a scare," Kizashi said worriedly and continued, "Don't do that again without warning.
-But why do you need to train on the katon? -You have it perfect as it is. You even have the dark blue flame," Hayate questioned, to Itachi's response.
-I wanted to see if I had lost my skill," the bearer of the newly acquired mangyoke sharingan explained, he also continued with a smile, "but what I've realized now is that I'm not even close to losing it. On the contrary, I'm back to being who I was before, Heh... - Itachi finished confidently, looking up at the clear sky. While philosophically reflecting on the fact that he had become his true self, though he knew they wouldn't realize it. Just because he was from the first timeline...

Once again, the much-used tree hopping began. Itachi's thoughts were distracted by Kakashi's voice, wanting to cheer him up a bit, and looking at Itachi he began:
-And know in any mission from start to finish we'll still have your back, so don't worry," Kakashi said looking at the protagonist-hero.
-Phrases from books?", Hayate asked snidely.
-Well, yeah," Kakashi replied, while covering his right eye with a grin. Which even through his mask, was visible for all to see. And afterward, the whole group added a light laugh. Except for Itachi, but still... He in turn added a slight smile.
The four ANBU of Konoha, immersed in their own thoughts continued on their way, behind the renegade mist. Itachi knew that in order to begin to improve. It was worth completing the original mission first. Although regarding the renegade fogman, Itachi had crossed paths with him before, in the first timeline. But this time, he would try to be different. Namely stronger, both physically and spiritually. Heh...
