Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. Rail and Kaito were practically inseparable, they did almost everything together. Their love for each other grew and grew with each passing day. And in the time they were together Kaito had not committed crimes of any kind because he promised Rail he wouldn't.
One day, while Rail and Kaito were eating dinner together Kaito told Rail that he decided it was best to turn himself in because he didn't want them to live a life on the run, hiding from the police. But he had to ask Rail an important question before he did; he asked Rail to marry him. Rail started crying from both sadness and joy, how could he not say yes?
After a while Rail felt sick; he was constantly throwing up, and he was always tired and hungry. Rail simply passed it off as a cold or a fever so he didn't tell Kaito because he didn't want him to worry.
The next day was the day it all changed. Rail knew that Kaito had committed many crimes but he thought the penalty wouldn't be as bad as it really was. Tears flooded Rail's eyes as he heard the harsh voice tell them the penalty for the crimes Kaito has commited; the death penalty. They weren't even married yet and Kaito was about to die.
On their way to the execution chamber they had decided to say their vows. Rail wasn't ready to lose Kaito and Kaito wasn't ready to leave Rail but he had to make things right, he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he dragged Rail into his life of constant running and hiding from the police.
Before Kaito died his last words to Rail were "I do". In tears as he watched the love of his life die, Rail replied "I do". As he stared at his dead husband he fell to his knees crying, he didn't know what else to do with his life. Without Kaito his life had no meaning, he was alone.
When he got home, he felt sick again so he decided to call a doctor to figure out what was going on. The doctor told him to take a pregnancy test and if it came back negative he should go to the hospital to see what's wrong. Locked up in his bathroom on the floor, he did as he was told and he in fact did not need to go to the hospital. Rail was pregnant. He still hadn't gotten over his husband's death and now he's having a child.
Nine months later a beautiful baby girl was born with the same porcelain skin as her father. She looked just like him but with Rail's eyes. He named her Arabella; Arabella Takahashi. Rail couldn't bear the thought of giving her up so he made a promise to her and Kaito; He promised to be the best papa ever. He would tell her stories about her father every night and show her pictures, they would always have fun together, Her nickname was Arbya because that was how she pronounced her name when she was a baby, and they visit Kaito's grave whenever they have the chance.
To this day, it's been 4 years since Kaito died and Rail still hasn't fully gotten over it but he's slowly getting better over time. Rail will never forget about the love of his life and he will never stop loving him, even if he's not with him physically Kaito will always be in Rail's heart.
-End-
Thank you for reading, please don't hate me for killing off Kaito :') should I do a mini story with Kaito and Rail before all the sad stuff, one of Rail and Arabella, both, or write another story? It's hard to decide lol
