Miss Mary pushed open the door and walked into the dimly lit office.
A wave of dust assailed her, and she couldn't help but frown, fanning her nose with her hand.
No lights were on inside. The only desk was piled with disorganized files and books, and a man with messy hair was dozing off amidst the mound of reading material.
The sound of the woman's footsteps startled him awake. Meng Zheng lifted his head, stretching out his index finger and thumb to rub his nose bridge and the dark circles under his eyes.
"Is it time?"
"Yes. It's already morning."
Miss Mary nodded slightly.
"There's no problem with communication. All peripheral group contacts and core members of the operation are assembled. If we want to proceed on the scheduled date, we need to start getting busy from today. Everyone is waiting for you... for the acting leader to come forward and formally declare the start."
"Alright."
