Anlan walked closer to Ding Xian and sat close to her on the couch with her eyes fixed on the bracelet. She wanted to remember where she had seen it but she couldn't.
"Ding Xian .. how do like it here?"Anlan asked with a warm smile making Ding Xian feel calm and welcomed
"It's great that I don't feel like returning"Ding Xian replied not taking a pause in her play with the dolls
"Why is that.. your family would be so worried"Anlan said
"She doesn't have a family mum"Yaoyao said from behind"so can she just live with us"Yaoyao asked
"What? Do you live in an orphanage home?"Snlan asked confused
"No mum she doesn't"Yaoyao replied
"I live with a woman who says she's my mum"Ding Xian replied and looked up
"What that's funny.. isn't she your mum?"Anlan asked still confused
"She says she is but I don't think she is"Ding replied
"Is she that bad?"Anlan asked gently"a mother can't be so wicked to her own child"Anlan added and held Ding Xian's hand
"She doesn't let me relate with other kids she beats me severely at every slight mistake.. you said a mother doesn't act wicked to her child but she does that's why I don't think she's my mum"Ding Xian said and a tear dropped from her eyes
"If she doesn't love you she wouldn't buy you such a beautiful bracelet"Anlan said trying to convince little Ding Xian
"She didn't get me this..infact she stopped me from wearing it and hid it far away..I just feel drawn to it that I couldn't stop wearing it.. it's the only beautiful thing I have among my worn out clothes"Ding Xian spoke with grieve in every word she said and at some point Anlan felt her heart tightened,she had truly been through a lot but the bracelet was still familiar
"You don't have to worry I promise you that I will be there for you anytime okay? "Anlan asked
"Okay"Ding Xi'an said and hugged her with Yaoyao joining from behind
"Okay that's enough"Anlan chuckled
"I wish you were my mum...yaoyao seems lucky to have a young pretty mum like you not like my old ugly mum"Ding Xi'an said
"Ding Xian..I don't want you to begin feel grieved at such a young age"Anlan paused and remembered how she had lived her young days cursing every moment that passed by in her life feeling lost and forgotten"it wouldn't help.. just be a good girl okay?"Anlan said not wanting to say much
"She will be a good girl with me by my side"Yaoyao said confidently and Anlan and Ding Cian chuckled
Anlan glanced at Yaoyao softly and brushed her hair with her hands she wondered how Yaoyao would feel if she comes to find out in the future that she wasn't her mum..was what Han Jing said possible not to make her ever know
"You both should round up your play i'll have to return Ding Xian home"Anlan smiled and left
