Chapter 27: Chapter 25

It was already 4pm when Samara walked into the restaurant that she was to have lunch with Charles. She had texted him about two hours earlier to move the time up a bit to about 3 30pm, but she still showed up late and kept the almighty businessman, waiting for her.

It wasn't like she had wanted to, in fact, she was hardly late to an appointment especially one with her grandfather in law and business tycoon, Charles Thompson, her father had instilled the sense of punctuality in her and even if she was twenty-three she still believed in the story her father had fed her when she was younger of a young boy named Jill, who was late to the busstop where he was supposed to be picked up and taken to heaven after death. He was left behind and legend had it that his spirit is still roaming restlessly, while his mates who were early, wined and dined in heaven with Jesus.
