Chapter 6: Escape - Part 2

July 14th 1988 - Earth

Secret Location - Tibet

Agent Smith, with the baby cradled in his arms, arrived at the base nestled at the foot of the mountain on the border of Tibet. Approaching what appeared to be an ordinary wall, he pressed his hand against it, triggering a series of security protocols that granted him access to the hidden Shield base concealed within. The wall split open, revealing a fortified complex resembling a nuclear bunker, complete with concrete walls, surveillance cameras, and vigilant guards stationed at every corner.

Making his way to the main hall, Smith encountered a figure he had only heard rumours about – Agent Tom Cruise. Renowned as one of Shield's most formidable field agents, Cruise commanded respect and admiration from all who served under him, despite his small stature. Smith wasted no time in briefing him on the urgent situation at hand, requesting emergency evacuation to the United States with the infant child of unknown origin.

Agent Cruise listened intently, his steely gaze betraying a hint of concern as he processed the gravity of the situation. "Good work, Agent Smith. Where's Bond? He was your commanding officer," Cruise inquired, his voice tinged with a sombre tone. Smith's response was curt and to the point – they had lost Bond in the chaos that had unfolded.

With a heavy heart, Cruise acknowledged the grim reality of their predicament. "Shit, this part of the job doesn't get any easier," he muttered, his mind already racing to formulate a plan of action. "Sit tight, Agent Smith. We'll prepare an evacuation plan while fortifying the base," Cruise instructed, his voice a beacon of authority amidst the turmoil.

However, their respite was short-lived as the mountain trembled violently, the ground beneath them quaking with an intensity that sent shockwaves rippling through the air. The base's proximity alarms blared in unison, warning of imminent danger as unidentified heat signatures materialised on the radar, seemingly teleporting into their midst.

With urgency in his voice, Agent Cruise issued instructions over the intercoms, rallying his men to battle stations as the base came under siege. As chaos descended upon them, Smith braced himself for the impending onslaught, his only goal now was to keep the child under his care safe.

Outside the Shield base, Jiaying stood alongside Gordon, a tall figure with skin where his eyes should be.

"Gordon, is this everyone you could get?" Jiaying's voice cut through the tension, her eyes scanning their small group.

"Yeah, everyone else lacks combat-ready abilities. I'll focus on retrieving the girl. You know how to contact me," Gordon replied with a nod, his expression unreadable as he began to teleport away, enveloped in a blue energy field.

Jiaying turned to the remaining members of their group, her gaze steely with determination. "Jake, use your strength to shake the ground and flush them out. Diana, generate a tornado to sow chaos. Alister, be prepared to heal any injuries. We must retrieve my child at all costs. Prepare for battle!"

Jake, a towering figure with bulging muscles, clenched his fists tightly. "You got it, Boss. I'll make the ground tremble beneath their feet."

Diana, her eyes alight with determination, nodded resolutely. "I'll whip up a storm they won't soon forget. Consider it done."

Alister, a calm presence amidst the brewing storm, nodded solemnly. "I'll be ready to mend any wounds. Let's bring your child home safely."

As they completed their plans outside the Shield base, Jake's brute strength proved to be a formidable weapon, shaking the ground and destabilising their adversaries' defences. With each powerful blow, the earth trembled beneath them, sending shockwaves rippling through the base.

"Rip 'em apart, Jake! Make 'em regret ever kidnapping one of us!" Jiaying's voice pierced through the chaos, her orders fueling Jake's relentless assault as he unleashed his might upon the Shield agents. His actions were swift and decisive, each punch a testament to his raw power.

In tandem with Jake's onslaught, Diana unleashed her powers over the weather, conjuring a massive tornado that wreaked havoc upon the Shield agents. The swirling winds and darkened skies added to the confusion and disarray, as the cyclone of destruction targeted groups of agents, scattering them like leaves in the wind.

"Blow 'em away, Diana! Let the storm rage on!" Jiaying's commands echoed in the tumultuous winds, her words spurring Diana on as she harnessed the full force of nature against their enemies. With each gust of wind and clap of thunder, Diana's control over the tempest grew stronger, her determination unwavering amidst the chaos.

Amidst the chaos, Jiaying and her team took cover, strategically directing their assault and coordinating their efforts to maximise their impact. "Stay focused, everyone! Keep the pressure on them!" Jiaying's sharp commands cut through the atmosphere, guiding her team with precision and determination.

Inside the base, Agent Cruise watched the carnage unfold with growing horror, his frustration mounting with each passing moment. "Since when were there enhanced individuals cropping up like mosquitoes in the Amazon!" he exclaimed, his voice laced with exasperation.

"Agent Smith, take the child and get out of here! We can't risk letting an innocent life suffer!" Agent Cruise's urgent directive cut through the chaos, his tone leaving no room for argument. Despite the weight of leaving fellow agents behind, Smith knew he had to prioritise the safety of the child, his heart heavy with the burden of responsibility.

As Smith made his escape, Agent Cruise prepared to make his last stand. Armed with a sniper rifle, a handgun, and a knife, he resolved to confront their adversaries head-on. With grim determination, he stepped out to face the onslaught, determined to take down as many of the enemies as possible before meeting his inevitable fate, 'it's as good a day as any I guess, to die that is…'
