Chapter 1 - Dimensional System!
Amidst the sea of towering trees, a man with a large cut wound on his back caused by a sharp object came to a halt after running for several miles. He came to stop for he no longer has any place to run.
At this moment of life and death, his expression was extremely calm, his mind was in peace, his heart was in tranquility.
The man looked at the five men in black that had caught up and slowly walking towards him and glanced at the gigantic gaping maw of earth, an endless chasm behind him.
"Wolf! Your end is here! Give up the artifact and we can leave you a complete corpse!"
Wolf sneered and replied. "You want it, right? Then, go down to take it with my corpse!"
"Fuck! Quick! Stop him!" A man in black roared and dashed forward, while some fired at Wolf.
Hearing their loud curses and useless deadly threats, without hesitation, Wolf jumped down into the sinkhole, known as Mouth of Oblivion, along with the artifact.
As he fell into the never-ending darkness, the artifact in the shape of a cube carved out of a crystal, suddenly shone with radiant light. It enveloped him and night changed into day as he fell unconscious.
Meanwhile, atop of the Mouth of Oblivion, the five men that were chasing after Wolf stopped as fear and intense regret etched on their faces. Knowing that only death would await them if they ever gave chase at this point, they tearfully, sorrowfully, and indignantly turned back.
But before they could even leave afar, the sky suddenly thundered as lightning flashed in the sky and bombard the sinkhole.
The five men were inflicted due to the scale of the lightning. Their bodies burned to coke and all they heard was an earth-shattering roar before they died.
"Roar!!! It is late! My chance is now gone forever! Mortal ants of this realm! Bear my anger!"
After the sky-shattering roar, the whole world ushered in destruction.

Ah! My head really hurts….
Wolf thought upon waking up. It felt as if there was a cut on his head, hurting so badly that it seemed as if his head was about to split open.
His decades of experience in the hellish battlefield made him calm down as he assessed his situation.
He could feel a soft bed beneath him, a cool air coming from the left as he heard a fluttering sound of fabric. As he opened his eyes, an ash-gray ceiling tattered with luminescent collectible stickers of stars and planets greeted him.
I'm still alive? How is this possible?...
His reason and logic told him that his situation was very unscientific and unreasonable, but his feelings and instinct honed in the battlefield would never betray him.
He indeed lived again...
Looking around, inspecting his surrounding, he was in a room of a decent student as he could see that the room was maintained well. There was a single bed, modern computer set, uniformed shelves with neatly arranged books, drawers for clothes, and undecorated walls.
When he turned his head to the right, he saw a young man with disheveled black hair, clear bright pair of blue eyes, wearing a white shirt and denim pants.
Who`s this wimp? Wolf thought at first.
Moving his hands, the wimp on the mirror also moved, following his movements. Realizing the fact, Wolf gulped hard.
Is that imp me?! WTF! How did this happen?!
Thinking back to what happened before he awakened, he suddenly felt a tingling sensation piercing through his head as if a sharp needle was stabbing into his brain. The pain arrived suddenly and brought many strange memories along with it that his face contorted.
With a pale complexion, he smiled wearily as he gradually understood his situation in a moment.
So I took over a body of a university student whose name is similar to mine… Wolf sighed deeply as he calmed his mind and slumped onto the bed again to calm his tense nerves.
The room was silent. Serene. Only the tick of the clock and wind blowing through the window could be heard. A very rare time of peace. His eyes slowly closed as he fell into a deep sleep.
In his sleep, Wolf wondered in the dream as he dreamed of the last moment of his life. He jumped into the mouth of a monster and fell into the darkness. With a loud thud, he awakened as he saw that have fallen from the bed.
Sighing deeply, he helped himself up. He sat before the computer and organized his thoughts and memories as it was in a mess.
After organizing the new memories in his mind, Wolf gained some insight into his current predicament. He was no longer in his homeworld but in a different world. He was in a not-so-modern world similar to his previous world, it has the existence of mysterious and magical forces...
Wolf, was merely a Title given to the King of Mercenaries and his true name was Reid. His current body was called Reid Aurus.
And the reason that Reid died too early at the age of twenty-one wasn't due to any sickness or was he murdered, but due to his occasional extreme insomnia. He died after gulping down a cyanide tablet mistaken as a sleeping pill. Misplaced after he finished cleaning his room and exterminating pests.
What a misfortune. He has a bright future ahead of him but died of a simple mistake.
At this moment, within his dark-filled consciousness, a glowing cube that fell into the cliff with him could be seen as he heard a voice rang within his mind.

After hearing a buzzing, emotionless voice, Reid suddenly found new knowledge in his mind. Something he had never, ever imagined could actually be real. "This... Is this the legendary system for traverser?!"
In the knowledge that the Dimensional System had given, Reid found how the Dimensional System worked and he could say that it was very powerful that it could be called omnipotent and omniscient.
He didn't wonder why other civilizations coveted and feared it, which caused the extermination of the entire Chaos Overseer Civilization!
Because whoever possessed it was not so different from a True Dimensional Creator!
And whoever created it could create another!
Lying back on his bed, he took a deep breath and calmed his mind. Everything that happened was otherworldly and too sudden, but Reid could accept it for it could never be more real than reality anymore.
After organizing his mind, he ordered through pure thought. System, can you make a Status panel for me?

Some things that Reid obtained didn't need much thorough description as he had already guessed what they were used for, but there was a thing he obtained he was skeptical about.

Reid inhaled a cold air as he read the description. Isn't it simply a Divine Tool?! Can it take me back to my previous world and other worlds?!
Reid sighed as he recalled his previous way of life. 'Then, I wonder what should I do from now on?'
While immersed in his thought, a loud sound startled him.

Turning his head, he saw a phone ringing for attention. Then, he remembered that the wimp(former Reid) still have a family. A caring mother, a protective father, a loving little sister. But due to the difference of their worlds, he lived alone, but still, contact him.
In this world which was much larger than his former world, war was waged several times, the land was torn apart and the sky turned red. And after the last war, everything has changed.
Mysterious events occurred at many places one after another, in both people, animals, and plants. They either evolved or mutated. Some people gained incredible abilities which their descendants could inherit, while the unlucky once became monsters. At the same time, some animals and plants grew powerful and became even more feral. The world return to the prehistoric era when the law of the jungle was followed.
After several hundred years of adaptation, the cycle continues as Mankind once again returned to the top of the food chain, standing beside the new races such as the barbaric Werekin Tribes, elegant prideful Elven Clans, and rude straightforward Dwarves.
While his family lived in that dangerous world, he lived in a relatively peaceful and normal world. Going to school, taking exams, and applying for a job. He lived an ordinary life within a protected city, but deep within him, he longed for the same dangerous world. This longing never disappeared even at his deathbed.
Organizing his thoughts, Reid answered the call. "Hello?"
He heard a familiar voice on the line.
"Thank goodness! I`ve been calling you 25 times! Why are you not answering the phone?!! You made your mother worry!" The female voice exclaimed angrily with anxiety, causing Reid to distance the phone from his ear.
hearing the deep concern from his mother, Reid sighed as he replied in a reassuring tone. "I`m okay. If that is all, then I'm going to hang up. I have things to do."
Back to Reid, he now had a firm and easy expression. He has decided to let go of his past life and start anew.
For allowing me to take over your body, I will cherish this family that you left! You have my word, Reid!
Feeling his spirit and body relaxed as if some kind of shackles left his body. He opened his Inventory and took out the Body Strengthening Potion.
He asked the system. "System, all I need to do is to drink this right?"

"That`s reassuring! Well then, bottoms up!" Reid said as he drunk the potion in one go!
And as soon as the potion entered his systems, it wreaked havoc within him and started their duty!
The feeling of being gut alive and poked with ice-pick nonstop came into being, accompanied by a burning ache inside his stomach that slowly spread all over his body
It was immensely painful that he couldn't even let out a groan as he was paralyzed on the bed as he used every bit of his will to endure, but he still fainted at the end.

The time Reid hung up the phone, Reid`s mother was looking at her phone with concern. Her only son had left them a long time ago, but with technology, they were still in touch with each other. Even so, as a mother, she was still worried as her son was not born like her younger sister.
Their world was different, but she was still his mother. And it was her duty to make sure that her son lived safely. She couldn't shake the feeling that something bad has had happened to her son.
But after the call, her worries lessened. She sighed softly and prayed. "I hope nothing bad happened to him or I would not be able to forgive myself. Please be okay, Reid."
