Chapter 159: I Was Just Curious

Penny strode past everyone, heedless of the stares, and headed to the bathroom with her head held high. Harry was rather impressed because a lot of women he knew would have been completely mortified by getting a bloody nose in front of this many people. 

He cast a worried glance over to Roman and noticed that he was staring in the direction she had left with a rather unfathomable expression on his face. What was going through that head of his? 

"I hope she's okay," was all he said. 

Was that a generic statement of sympathy or a sign of interest? Harry couldn't tell. He might need to test the waters to see what his friend was actually thinking. 

"She'll be fine," he said casually. "I get the feeling she's one tough cookie."

Roman turned toward him. "You know her?"
