Chapter 56: SOMETHING FISHY

How he went from wanting to leave immediately to newfound interest in the obviously lying girl in front of him was a puzzle to Noah himself.

Not to lie, Elizabeth's acting was impressive but it was one thing to act smart and another thing entirely to try to do the same in front of him.

He knew from the start that she was acting. He wouldn't be Noah if he didn't.

But he couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her. After all, she's just caught his attention. A little bit of fun won't bite.

"You know what they say, let every curse turn into a blessing" he continued with a glint in his eyes.

Elizabeth backed away until her back was pressing her seat. "You…Are you crazy?" She couldn't help but ask. How was he so calm? He didn't believe her?

And what was this about being cursed as well? It gave her the chills.

Noah nodded with a serious expression on his face before breaking into a warm smile.
