Laleen stared ahead, glaring at the red tape in front of her like it was the enemy which in fact it was. She was inside now, she reminded herself.
Taking a turn, she was met with the presence of the middle-aged woman from earlier. A small gasp escaped her lips in shock.
How did she sneak behind her without making a single sound?
The woman's kind smile was still plastered on her face but with a touch of concern.
"I'm sorry, did I scare you, Young Miss?" She whispered worriedly.
Laleen shook her head, as she tried to recover her thoughts. "It's nothing" she murmured weakly.
The woman nodded, her eyes drifting to behind Laleen and then back at the young lady in front of her, "I see you've seen the...line."
Laleen almost wanted to chuckle at her words. The line of separation was more fitting.
"I see" she responded like she understood the various thoughts that currently rioted Laleen's mind.
