Chapter 2: Azure Town
In a town several children can be seen which has ages ranged from 4 to 12 yelling and hitting wooden stakes. These children are from Azure Town locals and several other places which are near.
There is a middle aged person watching over them and nodding and giving pointers time to time. These children are cultivating their bodies.
In this world people are evolved to be able to absorb a type of energy which generally called qi at certain age and elevate their life expectancy and powers.
Qi can be absorbed when human body reaches certain conditions which are separated into three pre qi stages. These are muscle stage, bone stage and blood stage. These three also known as body refinement 3 realms. After these three there is also a realm between body refinement and qi absorbtion which is called meridian development stage.
In Meridian development stage people with more meridians and more meridian thickness will be more powerful and can go further in qi realms. So some people seperate this realm from body refinement and calls it meridian realm.
In Azure town the highest cultivation is country leader Yun Wentian from Yun Clan. He has reached qi refinement seventh stage. Qi refinement stage is a realm after qi absorbtion stage and in Azure Town it can be called one of the powerhouse.
There are other clans in Azure Town which has relationships with each other. These clans are Ye, Wu and Su clans. These three clans also has powerhouses at the realm of qi refinement first and second stages.
The place where these children staying right now is called Azure Camp and they will be sent here when they reached 4 years old. Because everyone in this world knows that without cultivation their children will not have a good future. Here even easiest job bosses want their employees to be able do things themselves and do not have a need for another cultivator. So children will be sent here after they learned reading and writing at age three.
Children here get their cultivation education until the age twelve and more talented may finish earlier also less talented maybe later. But most of them finishes at age twelve because human body development do not varies too much.
Yun Xi is adopted daughter of patriarch Yun Wentian from his friend. His friend and his friends wife passed away when they have gone to collect medicinal herbs. Yun Xi did not talk until age six and everyone thought she has some problems about her brain. Some famous doctors come and treat her but did not get any results.
But one day when she is six she started talking miraculously and her parents were happy. She also attended Azure Camp and in two years she has finished the camp making everyone astonished.
Today Yun Xi is fifteen and she has become a bone refinement body refiner. But this realm only showed to others but actually she has already reached qi refinement ninth stage. She chose to hid her realm because she just wanted to cultivate in peace.
She knows outside world is dangerous when her parents passed away and she vowed to have great strength and then destroy demons one day.
Today she has reached Qi refinement peak and for breakthrough to foundation establishment realm she chose to go out of town because during breakthrough some qi fluctuations may be noticed and bring unnecessary trouble.
There is a place called white lake which suits her tastes and she decided to go there hid in the cave there and then breakthrough.
She reached the cave after one hour of sprinting fast. She started her cultivation technique after meditating a little bit and getting her mind right. Her breakthrough go smoothly and did not caused any problem and she decided to wash the dirt coming out of body in the lake.
After she washed herself clean and get dressed she noticed there was a noise from nearby woods. She thought there might be some demons so she tried to sneak away carefully. But at this time these noise has became clear and she understood these are just wind wolves.
Wind wolves are elemental creatures which has some control over air. So people call them wind wolves. Normally people will be frightened by them because they move as pack and they can even take down a cultivator of qi refinement first three stages.
So after contemplating a little bit she decided to check out because for a cultivator of foundation establishment it will not be dangerous.
She get near the place and what she saw made her gasp. There is a man on a tall tree and it seems he is unconscious and wolves trying to use air control to get him down. But because he is at very top it was not working.
So she decided to rescue him because in this world humans are at the very end of food chain and every human being precious.
With fast moves all wind wolves are killed by her and jumped and get him down princess style from the tree. She tried to wake him but it did not work so she put him on her back and go to town.
