Chapter 8: Conference is Approaching

// I am very sorry for not updating for past two days because I was trying to fix my laptop and I think I just made it worse and resetting it also didn't help so yeah, I will be updating constantly while fixing it and will release two chapters extra within 1or 2 days .//

---

A peculiar scene unfolded on the stage: all second-class disciples stood in proper formation, with Baek Cheon at the forefront, bowing to the sect leader and exchanging greetings upon their return from closed training. Their hard work was evident from their increased strength. This filled the Sect leader with pride and gratitude for leading Mount Hua. Though he harbored some fears and insecurities about the future, seeing their dedication dispelled them.

"Welcome. I hope all of you found the closed training fruitful."

"Yes, Sect..."

Several cheesy lines later,

"In the past few months, Mount Hua has prospered in all areas—finance, swordsmanship, and more. However, there is one important news: an Uchiha has rejoined our ranks. Please welcome Uchiha Shisui, the last Uchiha and the Illusion Sword of Mount Hua!"

This news shocked everyone, as the clan thought to be extinct had resurfaced and joined Mount Hua. This was excellent news for the sect. The one most elated by this development was none other than Baek Cheon, the prime candidate for the next sect leader. Even though he believed himself destined for leadership, he was thrilled at the prospect of restoring Mount Hua's former glory and aiding the Uchiha clan's revival. Baek Cheon turned towards Shisui and greeted him warmly.

"I greet the Illusion Sword," Baek Cheon said with a broad smile.

"Why didn't you bow when greeting?" Shisui teased.

"Sorry?" Baek Cheon asked, puzzled.

"I said you must bow to those of higher rank. I'm a sub-elder, and you're a second-class disciple, so there's a hierarchy between us."

Baek Cheon was flustered but bowed, despite the embarrassment of bowing to someone younger.

"Ah, no need for that; I was just joking. There's no need for formality among us, right?"

This remark drew chuckles from the spectators.

"Yes," Baek Cheon replied, trying to remain polite. *When I become Sect leader, I will make sure to repay him*, Baek Cheon thought.

"Well, you must be hungry. We shouldn't keep you waiting for the feast. Clean yourselves up and head to the cafeteria," the sect leader announced.

"Yes, Sect leader."

Baek Cheon and the other second-class disciples left the grounds, with Baek Cheon eyeing Shisui as if planning to repay the jest in the future.

---

Shisui, engrossed in his meal while reading Mount Hua's swordsmanship manual, aimed to comprehend the theoretical concepts and Chung Myung's applications. His significant growth stemmed not just from physical training but from mental application, learning how Chung Myung's refined techniques evolved from the battlefield. This insight into swordsmanship and countering Chung Myung's moves elevated their sparring sessions to a higher level, now conducted in private each morning. Shisui often appeared worn out afterward, resembling someone who had fought for his life—indeed, Chung Myung had intensified his training with particular attention to Shisui.

"Well, the cafeteria scene should be over by now. They'll likely attempt to bully the third-class disciples. Normally, I'd intervene to prevent wasted training time, but if I do, Chung Myung won't humble Baek Cheon again. Though I look forward to seeing him humbled, I suppose I should let them be. Anyway, I'm focused on achieving sword unification, though I'm still months away."

True to the storyline, the second-class disciples attempted to bully the third-class disciples more aggressively this time, buoyed by Shisui's hierarchical jest for Baek Cheon. However, Baek Cheon himself was humbled a day or two earlier than expected, and after that, there was no further commotion, only preparation for the upcoming conference.

---

The night before the conference, a meeting convened with the sect leader, all elders, Shisui, and the first-class disciples in attendance.

"Tomorrow is the day of the conference. We all know how hard our disciples have worked. Their preparation matters more than the outcome, so whatever happens, don't be disappointed, even if they lo-"

"We will win, Sect leader," Shisui interrupted, to no one's dismay.

"I can't speak for the second-class disciples, but the third-class disciples didn't train to win."

"That's what I mean. Whether you win or lo-" Once again, the sect leader was cut off, this time slightly annoyed, but what came next surprised him.

"They trained not to lose. So no third-class disciple will lose tomorrow, I assure you."

Shisui's confidence and assurance visibly lifted spirits among the attendees, who smiled appreciatively. Mount Hua had lacked such assurance for years, having grown accustomed to defeat.

"What about you? Do you think you could be defeated by any third-class or even second-class disciple?" Hyun Jong asked.

"Hey! This is his first conference; he doesn't know his opponents-"

"I can win against anyone participating tomorrow even Jin Geumryong except

Chung Myung " with a smile

Winning against Jin Geumryong? Initially, everyone dismissed it as a joke. However, after witnessing the might of the Sharingan firsthand, it became clear that it wasn't impossible—actually, it was quite possible .

As for losing to Chung Myung, everyone had initially ignored it as a joke. However, tomorrow they would come to realize that it was indeed true.

"So, are you going to publicly declare yourself the Illusion Sword?" Un Gum inquired.

"I'd prefer not to, but if necessary, I won't hesitate. That's why I can't attend the meeting with the elders of the Southern Edge Sect."

Just like that the meeting continued for an hour , For everyone whole meeting seemed like talking to a child who was motivating them but for Shishui it was more like he was preparing them for the explosion that will occurs tomorrow .

// I know chapter is short because I am confused about whether I should write the important fights or just conclude them in a paragraph because there is little to no deviation in this arc . Deviation will start from story after the time skip . so what are your thoughts in it ?

1) Just slide through this arc in 2-3chapters.

2) Write all important fights

I am fine with both of them as in first I don't have to write that much and in latter I will get experience to write an actual fight. //
