Chapter 38: 39

"Why should I?" I ask, cocking my head to the side.

"Oh c'mon. It's just a favor..." He says, racking his hair with his fingers.

"A favor?" I raise a brow in astonishment.

He's asking favors now? After everything that he has done to me?

"Yes, please." He pleaded, stares directly at my eyes this time which caught me off guard.

Suddenly, small arms wrapped around Caleb's thigh, the kid stepped forward and held Caleb's hand.

"Dad! Where's my Cheetos?" The kid asked, he's probably three or four years old. Caleb knelt down and carried the kid in his arms.

"Dad?!" I blurted. He has a frigging kid? Oh My God. I stare at them back and forth. They both look alike. It's like the younger version of Caleb. I gaze at the kid intently, his hair, his features. It's all quite familiar, as if I had seen him before. I can't seem to comprehend where and when.
