To say that Zoe was shocked would be an understatement.

"Eunice isn't dead," Emperor Isaak insisted. "She's currently in a comatose state, but we haven't given up on her yet."

"And we will never give up on Mother," Princess Runa said firmly, her lavender eyes glowing as her emotions intensified. "If Mother dies, I will erase the empire from the map."

That was quite the threat.

And to be honest, the Crown Princess looked so intimidating that she suddenly let out a hiccup.

"Eunice," Emperor Isaak said in a scolding tone. "Calm down. You're scaring Zoe."

Thankfully, the Crown Princess listened to her father.

Princess Runa's eyes stopped glowing, then she looked at her apologetically. "I'm sorry, Zoe," she said, then the Crown Princess walked to the bedside table. She picked up the glass of water and handed it to her. "Here."
