The frown on Chang Ah's forehead deepened when she heard Yang Ning's mysterious words.

" Yang Ning, what are you talking about? How would I know why you didn't wear the dress that I had prepared for you to wear to the banquet?" Chang Ah was speechless at her shamelessness.

She was the one who did not wear the dress and was now pretending to be innocent in front of her father.

" I prepared that dress after putting so much effort into it yet you did not wear it and wore a plain, ordinary dress to the Banquet. Do you know what people will think about me after this thoughtless action of yours?"

" They will say that I did not pay attention to you and prepare a beautiful dress for you to wear to the Banquet bec...because I am not your biological mother. That's why I made you wear a rag to the Banquet." Chang Ah said in a choking voice while looking at Yang Ning with sadness and disappointment filled in her eyes.
