"We believed you, ma," They murmured loudly and left my office, giving us some privacy.

"Anika,"

I walked over to my desk, and took a seat on the chair. "I called, and messaged you,"

"Well, I'm sorry about that Mr Jonathan. I was busy, and I don't think it's proper for you to call me during my time," I spoke, in a cold demeanor tone.

He took a seat on the sofa arms, casting a look at me. I could feel his intense gaze on me, almost boring holes in my body.

"Anika,"

"It's Ms Dantes. And please stop staring at me, I'm not some kind of a meal," I uttered, and he nodded, licking his lower lip.

"I'm sorry about that day. It wasn't a mistake," I paused, hearing those words coming from him.

"Not a mistake?" I repeated, and he nodded.

"Why will it be a mistake? If you want it to be a mistake, it's fine by me, but I don't want that to be a mistake."
