Chapter 272: Worlds Colliding

It felt wrong to wake up in the bed of a place he was so familiar with. 

Despite the lack of noise and comfortable conditions, Henry shot up first thing, his shoulders heaving as he gasped for air. He had forgotten where he was. 

Before his eyes even opened, he thought he had fallen asleep while keeping watch in Polona. It must have been a dream. 

He had to sit back down and rest his elbows on his knees while his heartbeat slowed and he got a grip on reality. 

When he returned to his quarters the night before, he immediately took off the Chemoian sword and started cleaning it before replacing it with his trust onyx blade that he had missed so dearly. 

Everything in his room had been kept clean in his absence. There wasn't a speck of dust as if the owner of that room had never left. It caused a smile to appear on his face at the sight of it.
