Chapter 146: Too Much to Handle

A knock was heard at her door and she told whoever was there to come in, though there was no further movement and she had no desire to seek out whoever was there. Normally it was someone sent to watch her like a child. 

The princess stared at the grey sea outside of the window. It matched the sky. It matched the eyes that cruelly watched her every move those days. 

She thought of the way her brother did everything to keep her from happiness and it put her in a melancholic mood. 

That morning she had etiquette lessons. Her teacher who was a duchess from outside of Hydrogia's northern entrance told her she had been slacking off recently. She knew right away that it was likely a recommendation from her brother. 

She didn't like having dark feelings in her heart but she was starting to hate him. 

Books she had been given at her lessons didn't sound appealing. She ran her fingers along the covers of the books but never opened one of them.
