Chapter 199: Strange Comforts

The journey was tough for many days in a row. 

With the end of winter drawing near, the monsters' activity levels were starting to spike throughout the land. Winter was harsher the more inland they went, but they were being met with snow melt and overflowing creeks and rivers that made their path even more arduous than it was meant to be. 

Despite the difficulty, Henry remained fully engaged with his surroundings. His heart often raced with excitement and it felt good to exercise through practical experience. 

He had been worried about having to rely on the Chemoian sword but his worries were for nothing. 

From the first moment he had to draw the intricate sword, he found himself unbelievably impressed. The blade sliced through things effortlessly like he was putting hot iron through butter. The tough skin and thick bones were no match for such a sharp blade. It was almost scary how easy it became for him to cut through monsters.
