Chapter 223: Roadblock

The king's timing was always perfect.

From the outside, Alix and the other knights arriving back to Commander Lothian's fief which spurred the commander and Henry to go to Polona a day later seemed to be out of anyone's hands. However, the king had put obstacles in their way and it was the furthest thing from random or by chance. 

He had played it in such a way that he could get Royal Knights into Polona two weeks before Henry and Callum could arrive.

King Alfred wanted to have knights there to keep track of the movements of the other knights and make sure that they weren't going off task or if anything strange happened while they were there.
