Chapter 587: Before I Go

There was enough commotion for help to seek out Henry as he grabbed their items and walked Irene back into the large estate. 

He found a sitting room where he put his fur cape over her shoulders and he knelt in front of her, agonizing over what he had just done. 

"Find me a healer," Henry urged. "I can already see a bruise forming."

Irene was hurting but she still looked up at Henry with her eyes narrowed. 

"Your grace, I don't need a healer," she said. "This hardly requires any fuss. You're overreacting." 

Since they were in front of other nobles that evening who, even in their own marriages wouldn't dare call the other person anything other than their title, they were referring to each other politely. 

However, at that moment, Henry had no desire to be addressed like that. 

"Whatever she wants," he said, putting a hand over his face. "Just get us snow or something. I can do that much." 

Irene sighed.
