"Do you… even have any idea what it means or how it feels to not be needed or be of use to you? Do you?"

Hera slowly balled her hands into tight fists, eyes still on Dominic. Dominic, on the other hand, dragged his foot to lessen their distance. When she was within his reach, he stopped. 

"If you don't have any idea, then don't say it," he continued quietly. "Because it's even worse than getting shot."

"I'm so glad my father didn't let me take you home that time," she recalled, assessing him thoroughly. "You'll be worse than Dragon."

"I'll be worst. If I have to."

"I know it hurts not to be needed by me. My people had slapped that argument to me every single day," she replied in a hiss. "Not being needed by me makes people miserable, so I got to need them. So instead of them, I am the miserable one."

"Did I ever make you miserable?"
