Chapter 183: Karma

David had his crush in his arms, but he was hurting her. In his defence, he was hurting her for her own benefit. The pain on her face caused more pain to him. After helping her back on the bed, he caressed her cheeks and said, "please rest. You need that. Think of it this way, now you get to sit and let others work for you. Please."

"I hate you so much," groaned Journee and lay back down.

"Oh, I know you are lying. You requested to be brought here, you love me," teased David.

"Do shut up! Complete your check-up and go," growled Journee. David smiled at her and left the room after giving medication instructions to the nurse. He wrote everything in her chart as soon as the shifts of nurses would change.

Now Journee had to wait for her fathers to arrive. She had to tell them what she felt at night. She had to tell them to investigate everything. She just wished for them to come sooner.
