Chapter 99: Instructions

Journee left everyone in the apartment building to finish their job and reached near her Jeep. For a few minutes, she rested her head on the vehicle door and let her tears stream down her face. She wanted to punch the window of her Jeep but kept her fist clenched till her nails dug into her palms and the pain got unbearable.

Flashes of her father, her mother and her brother kept overlapping with the images of the family of the driver she just saw. She was angry at the Hall family. What kind of killer they had who had no qualms with killing a little kid? That too so brutally. Why they had to slit the throat and not kill the kid any other painless way?
