William left the house after being defeated by Kay and his superpower to lock the whole house. He didn't want them to go and talk to Harris, but it was necessary too. They needed to find out who bugged their cars.

After having breakfast and leaving both of them to sleep, he drove his car to the office. He had so much paperwork to do as usual. Sometimes he missed his old days when he used to grab criminals by the collar and the euphoria he would feel when he would solve a case. There was no experience like that.
