Chapter 14: BAB 14
After a long time of trying on several clothes, Shizuku Tan found anything that suited her taste and we ended up leaving the store without buying anything. Was it okay not to buy anything, even though I had tried on all the clothes? That thought ran through my head. I never understood how women shopped even in the previous world.
Shizuku doesn't look tired at all, maybe all girls are the same as Shizuku out there and in the other world. Following Shizuku while feeling tired, Shizuku stopped in front of a general store.
"What's up, found something nice for yourself?"
"No. Nothing."
After walking for a while, we arrived at the place I wanted. That place was a bookstore. Also today the new series I'm reading came out with a new volume. I had to get the latest volume. After all, this kind of reading rarely existed in my previous world. It's an entertainment I get in this world. So, I quickly headed to the novel or manga corner. It didn't take long for me to find the book I wanted.
I picked up the book, then realized that Shizuku was staring at me.
"You still like that a lot apparently."
"Yes. Reading something like this is a pleasure for me. If you want I can borrow it for you."
"If I want to read something, maybe you can give me some suggestions."
Walking to the cashier to pay for my book. We quickly left the store and realized it was noon.
It felt like we spent a lot of time inside the women-only store with Shizuku. Heading to the restaurant for lunch, Shizuku stopped midway.
"What's wrong?"
"I need to go to the restroom."
Letting Shizuku go to the restroom. She said she would be back soon. She left at a half run, it seemed like she had lasted long enough.
I waited for Shizuku to return from the toilet, but she didn't appear after some time had passed.
"It's been a long time since she went to the toilet. Did something happen to her?"
When I went to move around looking for her, she was in a bit of trouble.
"Hey, come on, it's okay if it's just for a little while?"
"Come on, play with us for a while!"
Shizuku was approached by two conspicuous people.
"I can't help but think. People like them are everywhere."
Shizuku urged them to move declaring that she was in a hurry, but the two people forcefully approached her even further. As if they wanted to grab Shizuku's arm.
Walking a little faster towards Shizuku. I hugged her by pulling her shoulders.
"What are you doing?"
I said to the man while grasping one of his hands that wanted to grasp Shizuku's hand, with a cold gaze as if it could kill towards them.
"E, uhh no."
"M-sorry about us."
I let go of her hand, the two conspicuous men surprised by my presence. Frightened by my gaze, as well as the presence of my tall body. They both left us.
After making sure they left, I released Shizuku from my embrace. For some reason Shizuku felt a little disappointed, when I released my embrace from her.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine."
Feeling relieved by those words, I sighed.
Thankfully, I paid attention to this before things got out of hand.
"UM, here!"
Shizuku held out the bag she was carrying with a blush on her cheeks.
I accepted the bag and opened it. Inside was a silver star necklace with a blue gem in the center and yellow gems around it. I saw this necklace in a general store before.
"Are you giving this to me?"
"Yes, it's a gift from me."
A gift from Shizuku, I never thought that Shizuku would give me a gift. Feeling happy with the gift I received from Shizuku.
"We're the same."
Shizuku took out a silver necklace similar to mine. The only difference is the red gem in the center instead of blue.
"Doesn't it seem like we're lovers?"
"UM. Y-yes. Do you think people think we're lovers?"
"Of course."
As I said that a blush appeared on her cheeks with her gentle smile.
"Thank you."
"You don't have to thank me with that gift."
"No, that's not it. Thank you for always being with me."
"Uh, why did you suddenly say that?"
"I don't know. Also ...."
I looked straight into Shizuku's eyes.
"I'll invite you to go here again but not as a friend, but as my loved one."
The words came out of my mouth. Although it wasn't very loud, I'm sure my voice reached and was heard by her. I'm sure my feelings were conveyed to his heart.
As soon as I finished saying my sentence. There was no reply from Shizuku. The only thing that could be heard were the footsteps of the customers walking inside the store.
"Uwahhhh!!!"
Once she realized the meaning of my words, Shizuku's face turned bright red.
"Wait!!! What-what did you just-"
As Shizuku blurted out, I quickly approached her and put my index finger in the center of her mouth.
I smiled at her, "Can you wait until I do it someday? I promise. Be patient."
As soon as I said that I removed my finger from her mouth. The reason I don't want to start a relationship with Shizuku yet is because there are still many things I don't know in this world. Plus there are still mysteries and the appearance of monsters. And if it's all someone's doing, then starting a relationship with Shizuku would put her in a lot of danger. I also might not be able to manage my time and my mind might get confused by all these things. So, it's better for me to know all those things or resolve them before starting my relationship with Shizuku.
"I-I understand. I'll wait for you."
Shizuku replied with a still red face while looking at me shyly.
I know making a girl wait is not a good thing.
Smiling at her, I pulled Shizuku's arm and invited her to go to the restaurant.
"Let's go to the restaurant! People will think that we're freaks for standing in the middle of a crowd."
"O-okay."
I looked at her face, her soft smile and embarrassed face flushed. With her body trembling with excitement. After lunch, we spent the rest of the time wandering around the various shops.
