Chapter 93: The ball

Wunik was unable to hide his excitement as he instantly smiled, grinning from ear to ear with his eyes focused on Rye.

"No promises though!" Rye told him, not wanting to bring his hope up only to smash it back down.

"It's fine! I know for sure you'll be able to pass the assessment and become a servant of the goddess!"

Rye didn't see any reason to stay any longer, saying her goodbyes a second later and making her way through the huge gates of the temple.

Through the back path that led straight to the Blessed's quarters, and straight to her room.

She had just gotten there when she fell on the bed, without taking off her robes, wanting a moment of silence where she wasn't needed or wanted by anyone.
