Fleur Delacour was a proud witch. Not only did she possess the look but also the competence of a great witch. She was objectively a cut above other witches and she knew it. However, what happened at the Quidditch World Cup humbled her slightly. Being surrounded by Death Eaters, she had to fight tooth and nail not to die. If it wasn't for Harry Evans, she and her sister would have died or worse become playthings for the sick bunch.

Speaking about Harry Evans, she couldn't help but grumble. The young man had left her to the Aurors' care on the Quidditch pitch without batting an eyelash. It was a proper thing to do, but he didn't give her a chance to thank him. What made her irate was, however, the fact that he seemed to have forgotten about her.

He didn't even leave his mail address. Am I too ugly for him? Doubt it.

Fleur believed Harry Evans was playing hard to get. Men would do stupid things to draw her attention. She was used to being worshipped, although it bothered her sometimes. But the point stands, Harry Evans must be attracted to her, even if it was a little. He had to be gay to be completely immune from her charm, which she doubted she was.

"Hold your head high, students. Show Hogwarts the grace of our Beauxbatons."

The instruction from Madame Maxime made Fleur straighten her body and forego the thought of the subject of her infatuation. Of course, she vehemently denied her infatuation with one Harry Evans. She wasn't sure if he was into her, which was infuriating. If he worshipped her, she might consider admitting her feelings.

"And please welcome Madame Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons and her students!"

The Beauxbatons students entered the Great Hall at the summon. As they basked in the attention the Hogwarts students gave, Fleur looked around the hall. Her eyes found Harry sitting at the end of the Slytherin table like a family head. He supported his head with his fist, looking at her with eyes full of amusement.

Fleur's heart skipped a beat. Her face flushed and she was floored for a moment. At last, she avoided Harry's gaze, missing the small smirk he sent her way. As they sat at the Ravenclaw table, Fleur sneakily glanced at Harry from time to time. She was not the only Beauxbatons student doing that. Her mates were also sneaking glances at him, which made her annoyed for some reason.

"And please welcome Headmaster Karkaroff from Durmstrang and his students!"

The summoned people entered the Great Hall and the Quidditch enthusiasts erupted into cheers as they found Viktor Krum among the lineup. Harry looked mildly intrigued, but boredom danced in his eyes. The hall suddenly turned silent when Viktor Krum walked over to Harry. His stoic look made it hard to discern his intention and the silence only made it worse.

"Harry Evans," Viktor called in his heavy Bulgarian accent.

"That's me," Harry stood up and looked down at Viktor slightly as he was taller.

"That was most impressive what you did on the pitch," Viktor praised as he extended his hand.

"I can say the same to you, Viktor," Harry returned the praise while shaking Viktor's hand.

Even though the interaction turned out to be a civil one, no one sighed in relief until Harry and Viktor sat down. Ludo Bagman and Bartemius Crouch Senior made their appearance, giving Dumbledore the chance to liven up the room. Harry stopped paying attention and ate his food. The feast ended and Dumbledore had another announcement to make.

"The three champions will be chosen by an impartial party, the Goblet of Fire. You shall write your name and your school on a piece of paper before putting it into the Goblet of Fire. Beware, no one under seventeen shall participate in this event due to how dangerous it is. I will put an age line around the goblet, so no one under seventeen should be able to reach it."

Harry took out a piece of paper and wrote down his name as Dumbledore was setting up the Goblet of Fire. When everyone moved to leave the Great Hall, Harry scooted over to the Goblet of Fire and dropped his name. His action elicited murmurs from the students and an intrigued look from Dumbledore. Uncaring to the attention, he left the hall.

"Harry!"

He was stopped in his tracks by a familiar French witch. As he turned around, he was met with Fleur's prideful gaze. That quickly faltered when he quirked an eyebrow. The French witch shyly scooted over and fidgeted before him.

"Hello, Fleur," Harry said silkily.

"You know French!?" Fleur exclaimed.

"I only know how to say bonjour," Harry answered in amusement.

The French witch scowled but her annoyance didn't last long as Harry's gaze made her feel self-conscious. Clearing her throat, she made her intention clear.

"I am here to thank you for saving me and my sister. My parents want to invite you to dinner, but alas, we can't have that until the Triwizard Tournament begins. Therefore…" Fleur took out a necklace with a nail-sized crystal hanging on it. "The Delacours want to give you this as a token of gratitude."

"Well, thank you. It is most impressive." Harry accepted the offered necklace. "What does it do? I doubt being pretty is the only thing it has to offer."

"It amplifies the effect of healing potions and healing spells."

"Amazing," Harry exclaimed.

"Yes, it is most amazing," Fleur said proudly.

Harry's chuckle caused a fire to rise to Fleur's face. Harry bade her goodnight and left, not once glancing back at her. That quickly made Fleur regain her bearings. With a scowl, she stomped her foot and called Harry.

"Is this the extent of the British courtesy?"

While he didn't care about the rivalry between the British and the French, Harry still stopped in his tracks. Quirking an eyebrow at Fleur, he wondered what made the Veela irate.

"I have said my thanks, Mademoiselle. Is there something I lack?"

Fleur smiled sardonically and derisively said, "Well, in French we thank a beautiful girl by kissing her."

Harry's disbelieving laugh made Fleur's face red once again. She was about to leave out of embarrassment when Harry took her hands, pinned her against the wall and kissed her. Her mind caught up late, but when it did, she immediately returned the kiss. Her tongue soon prodded Harry's teeth and battled it out with Harry's.

When Harry pulled back and let go of her hand, she snaked her arms around Harry's neck. She was aroused enough to kiss Harry all over his cheek and neck. Much to her satisfaction, Harry let her do whatever she liked. Judging by his arms around her waist, he liked it as much as she did.

"Kuhum!"

Fleur was about to ravage Harry's lips when someone interrupted them in the hallway. Turning to the offender allowed them to see Charlus, Hermione, and Ron. Charlus looked embarrassed, Hermione looked miffed and Ron was green with envy. Harry gave Fleur one last kiss before separating from her.

"I guess we shall continue some other time, sweetheart."

Fleur sputtered a response to Harry's sensual French. She didn't know French could sound that sexy coming out of his mouth.

Once Harry left, Fleur turned to Charlus and his friends and cleared her throat. "Well, go back to your dorm, children," she shooed them away, causing them to scowl. Ignoring their reaction, she left the hallway.

"That snake is mental, I tell you!" Ron exclaimed.

"Cor blimey…" Charlus inwardly fumed at his brother's luck with women.

The next day came with an interesting rumour. A Hufflepuff student caught Harry and Fleur kissing in the hallway and complained about it to her friend. It didn't bring negative attention to Harry, but Fleur had it quite rough. She constantly received scathing glares from the jealous girls but took it in a stride. She was used to being the subject of jealousy.

Fleur even had purposely looked for Harry the entire day but failed to find him. Harry was hard to find to begin with as he preferred to be alone and none of his housemates was cooperative. Although, admittedly, Fleur shouldn't have asked the female Slytherin. They seemed adamant about protecting their prince.

"Harry!"

"Hello, Fleur."

Fleur found Harry in the Great Hall during dinner. She strutted over to him and joined him at the Slytherin table. Everyone grumbled under their breath, but no one said a thing. Apart from Daphne Greengrass, who looked uncertain, all the girls glared at Fleur. She lifted her chin proudly and revelled in the enmity.

"What's a glorified whore like her being proud about?" Draco scoffed, causing everyone at the table to stiffen.

"Watch your mouth, Draco. Not even Daddy Lucius can save you if I decide to put out your life candle," Harry said with amusement in his tone and killing intent swirling in his eyes.

Draco stiffened and lowered his head. Harry could suffocate them with his magic power alone. Harry was not afraid of using violence and Lucius had made it clear to Draco that he should never provoke Harry given his backing. Bellatrix Black was crazy enough to declare a blood feud with the Malfoy and they wouldn't survive given the Minister's bias toward House Black.
