Chapter 73: The Least He Could Do

When they arrived at their hotel, the first thing Vincent did was unpack the robots. Unfortunately, they couldn't attend the dinner he was required to make an appearance at since they couldn't eat. He would have to find a way around that eventually or forego attending the dinners despite how important they were to make contacts that would help him get the legislation he wanted off the ground prior to taking over the world. 

He and Maya would have to deal with that annoyance themselves but she didn't mind. In fact, she seemed to look forward to it. 

"You know I enjoy messing with people," she said with sparkling eyes. "If anyone gives you a hard time, I'll sock it to them in the most baffling way possible."

Vincent had no doubt she would. That was the only reason he wasn't more annoyed he had to go to this in place of the robots that would handle everything else so they could go sightseeing. 

He smiled. "I look forward to it."
