Alex chuckled as he hung up. Hearing her voice once again made his evening. Not that he wasn't having a pleasant evening but she just made it more lively. He could already imagine how red she has turned when she stuttered and denied missing him.

She always turns red when he teases her. As if realizing himself, his smile faltered slowly. He shouldn't think about her. Not like this.

Earlier, when he called he wanted to call off their marriage just as he had promised Beverly, but he couldn't. He wouldn't let her go that way, she's his and his alone.

He had no idea why he suddenly felt so possessive of Hazel. Why he suddenly felt the need to keep her for himself alone?
