Officer Lyao exited the sanatorium, returning to report to the First Commander.
Upon hearing the full account, the Commander showed both surprise and a sense of expectedness. "His thinking has always been different from the rest. And his beta, it's always been the best. He's been saying that for decades—it's nearly an absolute truth."
Officer Lyao nodded, asking, "What should we do now?"
"We wait for him to figure it out. When he does, he'll come find us," replied the Commander, cool as a cucumber.
Indeed, just as the First Commander predicted, an hour later, Perseman came rushing in.
Panting heavily, he asked immediately upon entering, "What's going on?"
The First Commander set aside the documents in his hands, "Didn't you figure it out?"
Perseman shook his head, "No, I didn't. I thought the Alliance had come up with a new drug or something."
