Synopsis
Eisley Sawyer was promised to Magnus Sawyer by her mother at a tender age for marriage. However, Magnus turned out to be far from a loving husband. He is one to cheat and beat her up, whether she was at fault or not.
Desperate to escape this nightmare, Eisley overheard the local wives discussing a notorious gangster and businessman coming to town. This man, Irwin Kent, happened to be her husband's boss—a man known for having any woman he desired, even those married to his employees. Eisley saw in Irwin a man more powerful than her husband, presenting her with a potential escape route. But how long could she rely on this path without falling for her saviour?
EXTRACT:
Magnus gazed at Irwin, then dropped to his knees. "Forgive me, but she's all I have. I can't lose her. I love her so much. Please, let her come back to me."
Irwin leaned back, eyes fixed on the ceiling as the smoke from his cigarette clouded his view. "She wants a divorce."
A heavy silence filled the room. Irwin sat up, scrutinizing Magnus, who remained on his knees, utterly bewildered.
"My wife is still very young and naive."
"Is she? She strikes me as quite bold and wise," Irwin countered, "She's my type," he added, biting his lower lip with a smirk that made Magnus furious.
"Sir, Eisley is my whole life!"

Very addictive to read. It keeps you on the edge of wanting to know what will happen next. So far, the development of the story is coming out nicely, and the background is done well. Each character is developed as an individual. Right away, the Fl is showing her strength, yet her fear is nicely blended into her reactions, which keeps her seen as a likable character. She's a perfect blend of not-to-strong or weak, which will hopefully give the readers time to see her growth.
I LOVED THIS STORY SO MUCH IT IS SPEACKING VOLUMES IN ROMANCE AND THE PERFECT COMFY FEELING I AM IN LOVE WITH THE CHRACTERS AND ITS AMAZING I LOVE THE WHOLE ASTHETIC OF THE MAFIA WORLD AND THEN A HELPLESS GIRL ITS EAUTIFUL !!!!! although one thing in chapter 9 there r repeative paragraphs u wanna check that ok.
Firstly, I love Irwin and Eisley's relationship. The proposal was my favorite, and the shooting scene! ugh, loved! but I hope the author can continue to release on time [img=update][img=recommend]
I love your writing style! And Eisley and Irwin? I love the fact that they seem like calm and collected people. Magnus is a real horse dung. This book is so easy to read! It flows and just makes you want to keep going. Hard to stop. I'm in love!
