Unable to control the smile Sarahiah know he was looking at her, but she could not help herself. Mr. Macho guy seems to realize that he was looking breathtaking so he was flaunting himself.
Seeing almost everyone had left and she was the only one that remained standing there she thought, 'Maybe she wants me to feel that she alone can have a man, but he looks down at her in such a cynical way as she keeps touching and leaning on him. From where I am standing, they look perfect together.
"Boy, this is disgusting, I must get out of here," she mumbled to herself, then suddenly she felt a hand grabbing her elbow and pushing her out of the entrance, "What are you doing Mitch?" she asked a bit angrily.
"Helping you to get a taxi home, I thought you said your dad is returning home today?"
"Yes he is, but I did not expect you to..." she stopped amid her sentence as Mitch turned her face towards his and kissed her on the cheeks.
Her hand raised and was in midair about to slap him when she observed the gentleman glaring at her from head to toe.
As our eyes clashed, I immediately detour my action and gently stroked Mitch's hair smiling up at him saying, "Thank you so much, I really wanted to get out of there." then sat in the taxi that he had flagged down
Turning around in the taxi, Sarahiah was unable to believe her eyes the way Mr. Macho man was scoping out Mitch from head to foot. As the taxi drove away she wondered, 'What was on his mind, although that beautiful woman was crawling her hands all over his body, his eyes never left me which made me feel as though it was piercing a hole into my body.'
Smoothing out her dress, she felt such discomfort as if her body was being invaded. When the driver asked, as he looks through the review mirror, "Where to ma'am?"
She cleared her throat and then replied, "Stella Street, right after the gas station, please."
Dropping out Sarahiah hurry along as the rain began to fall more heavily. Reaching the mechanic shop almost half soaked only to hear that her car will not be ready until tomorrow. "Miss Steelton we still have a few things to change then your car will be in perfect working order."
Taking the newspaper the mechanic offered her, she covered her head, seeing that it was getting late to prepare dinner for the family, she looked at both sides of the road observing no vehicle coming she dashed across the street to the variety store.
Hearing a screeching sound of brakes mashing then the smack just before she fell. The surging pain in her knees weakens her as she lays on the roadway.
Feeling so embarrassed when the people who were busy running to get shelter at the variety store stop, just looking down at her. Not one person move a finger to help her on her feet.
