Chapter 106: Memories Part 1
[On the Last Floor of the Tower ]
" So this is how it feels to gain power, huh? " Adrian says as he was drowned in the blood of Demonic Monsters, prepared for his ritual by the Tower's owners.
As he feels it, he then asks Arachina and Gargas about the ritual, and the Demons said that he's already on the way to completion and the process is just 23.76% left.
" I see, so it seems the ritual really worked after all... "
" After countless years of my devotion to the Lord, I was then given this opportunity to try this very Ritual myself. " Adrian says as he then sees Flolial who also drowned in the pool of Demonic Monsters' blood with him, including some others of his people from his Guild and some Hunters who he already ask to join him off-screen before entering the Abyss Tower.
" Oh Adrian, I felt so great... "
" I never thought that you would give us such a Gift in my life. " Flolial says as she begins to drown in the ritual's power.
" Yes Flolial, enjoy this very moment... "
" For the pool of the Demonic Monster's blood are crucial for our Ascendancy... " Adrian says as he can feel his skin almost change.
"( After many years of gathering every victory with the Dark Brotherhood Sect I've finally achieved the pinnacle of our Sect's dream. )"
"( The dream to ascend ourselves from this Degenerate form of us into a form more powerful and equal to the Divinely Pantheons. )"
"( Before we came to this opportunity, our Sect only work behind the Darkness, slithering around and evading the light until I slowly take our game to a higher level. )" Adrian says as he reminisces that very day, the day when his life changed completely.

[ Location: Elven Arkwood Dungeon (Epic) ]
" Gather all of the dead elves and put them around the designated circles that I already made for you. "
" Gather them up! " Adrian says as he leads the sect to perform a regular ritual that the Sect should do based on their tradition.
" Everyone, we're here today to celebrate our Sect's important events. "
"At this moment, we will celebrate our first years of advancement by performing our first grand sacrifice. "
" In hopes to summon the great Demonic Monarchs of the Abyss. "
" Through our summoning ritual, we hoped that our Brotherhood will finally receive its first 'guidance' from the Deviant Monarchs. "
" The guidance that will decide our Sect's future in the new era that the demons have promised us who have been marked a Sinner by the very gods that ruled this world. " Adrian says as he chose his Sin Mark in his chest, the mark he tries to hide in any way.
Sadly, he explains that every day, his Sin Mark grows as if it wants to torture his life even more by making it more visible for the other gods' believers to see. Not just that, the mark also gradually shortens his life by decreasing the functions of his vital organs such as his heart.
" As you can see this Sin Mark slowly grows as it slowly kills me. "
" Even if I try to fake its presence by adding a Sin Core that I snatch from a dead Gifted human, the Sin Mark still constantly made its presence be noticed as it often gives me sudden reactions that would immediately sicken me immediately at the time it reacts. " Adrian says while having some tears, followed by his followers at the time who also had it inside them, feeling the same as their days being tortured to find a way to hide the very mark from the others in order to survive in Trinia Country's society.
Afraid of them being persecuted or even executed since those with the Mark are labeled as what the people on the earth said to be the 'Available for Persecuted and Executed People'. Because of it, the one who has these Marks tries their best to hide from the public's eyes in fear of being caught by the Divine Inquisitors whose job is to find evil and cleanse it or in reality, their duty is to eradicate every trace of evil lurking and signs of Demonic Activity inside Trinia.
" Since we marked ones are considered to be part of the evil that must be eradicated, we were all doomed to die in our every day of life. "
" Even I, one of the most successful Hunters had to constantly use my wits and deceit in order to survive every constant attempt to unravel this accursed secret of mine. " Adrian tells them as he shares his story of always evading the other Hunters and Inquisitors' attempts of suspicions against him for so long.
As he shares it, the other cry and blames the gods (Diviners) for their misery, making them had to suffer for sins that they didn't know when they even do it. Making them wonder sometimes if the Sin Mark is their punishment for their parent's sins, their grandparent's sins, their ancestor's sins, or even the most absurd part if they were punished for the sins they would probably have in their previous life or incarnations if that is really the case.
" I don't know, we don't even know what our sins are!? "
" But those divine dorks without any reasons just give us these accursed Marks as if they want to see us be tortured for their own entertainment. " Adrian says as he then starts the ritual, making the circles, diagrams, and every sign that they have prepared, glow, meaning that the summoning ritual has started.
" No, no more... "
" We have enough of being those divine dorks' playthings. "
" Rather than being dirt in front of the divine eyes, we have chosen another path... "
" The path that accepts us and will ascend us from our accursed situation. "
" And the path will be revealed now. " Adrian says as the summoning finally worked for the first time in the Dark Brotherhood Sect's history and it happens during his time of leadership Adrian then realizes that there's an alternate destiny awaiting him and the others.
A destiny that will ascend their lives for the better, for the Monarch who will come to them as their lord, summons itself and shows the way, giving them visions of their plans as they want them to be part of it.

[ Return to the present. ]
" It's all thanks to that moment, that our paths now had differed from our original doomed fate. "
" Now our fate has evolved for the better, now we will make sure to destroy all of those divines that did the marks to us, as we now will use the marks' own tortured power to destroy them. " Adrian yells and the others followed them with joy while Arachina, Gargas, and the Abyss Tower's owner just looked at them, conversing about them.
" Are you sure you want to keep them company, for now, milord? " Gargas asks the Abyss Tower's lord.
" Let them, after all, they were ordered to do this ritual since the Monarchs ordered them to do it. " the lord says while his two assistants just look at each other after hearing it the lord, sees Adrian as he also sees the crown above the pool of blood, the crown that Adrian will use after the ritual is finished.
"( I hope the Monarchs were right about this decision... )"
"( By ensuring their summoning in the hands of a human. )" he thinks to himself.
