Feeling a sense of dread, Alex hastily withdrew his hand from the gap. Unfortunately, the creature that had been creeping onto his hand was already swift in its movements.

Pain surged through Alex once more, a sensation he desperately wanted to avoid. As his hand emerged from the gap, he saw the same scorpion as before, only this time it was larger. The sight of the fine hairs covering the scorpion's carapace made his scalp crawl.

In a panic, Alex swiped the scorpion against the hill wall, hoping to rid himself of the creature as swiftly as possible.
