Chapter 40: General Albert Clauss

Becoming a metahuman was hard. Children from all over the world dreamt of becoming one and it was the collective dream of the young bloods.

But only a select few would awaken and that applied to the rich too. Even if the children of the rich and powerful were fed foods containing mana regularly in perfectly safe amounts, even then there was still no guarantee that they would awaken as it all depended on one's sensitivity and control over mana rather than amount.

So, if someone is born with low sensitivity to mana then they are almost destined to not awaken.

And that was the case for Aiden Clauss, a character of great strength and intelligence and most importantly son of General Albert Clauss, a warrior metahuman classified as Rank-A.

Metahumans were ranked from E to S, S being the strongest and E being the weakest. It was the official ranking system used by the Metahuman Association.
