Write a reviewRead up to chapter 476 in raws, chapters broken afterwards, can only wait for the next chapters when it gets translated here..
I see some typos like she instead of he and Vice versa. Hoping for the editors for this small details but can distract us reader to be remedy. Reading to 23ch I say I can recommend this one and has a great potential and need to be tap in. Goodluck.
2 days without releasing episodes I'm already intrigued by what is going to happen to the protagonist at the fairy's birthday celebration.
*Review after reading till chapter 380* In short? I’d say forget the title and read it with the assumption that MC has a discipline related system. For a more elaborate explanation let us take a hypothetical situation to understand that problems here. Let me ask you this—- if there is a person who has the ability to see the future, or rather perceive a glimpse of future events, ATLEAST once a day, what do you think that cannot happen to this person? Yes, he will not be cornered and will always be prepared and a step ahead. Let me ask you another question—- if said person, who is able to perceive a glimpse of the future of his disciples but is now separated from them, what do you think can be a solution to this issue? Yes, he should try to glimpse their future and get information from it and find the approximate location of where they are or will be, so that he can meet them. Is the person I am talking about the MC? Yes. Can he really simulate his disciples futures? Yes. Without any cost, or backlash. And the total number of simulations each day overall is equal to the total number of disciples. He can even specify an initial condition as well. Let’s say if he specified that a certain disciple will always stay by his side for 100 years, and simulates the disciples future, that future will also do his future indirectly, since the disciple will be next to him. In this way, although he can only simulate his disciples future, he is able to simulate others future indirectly as well. Does he spam this OP ability? Never. Whaaaa—- yes, maybe once or twice, but mostly never. To the point that he encounters unexpected situations as well. Imagine you being a person who can see the future only to run into situations you never expected. You don’t even need to obsessively simulate it each day! Just once in 3 months? Or 6 months? Bruh! What the hell? He is separated from his disciples after he ascends, but is also notified by the system when his disciples also ascends. But makes no extra effort in finding them. Why do that? ‘coz the more disciples that are around him the faster he grows, thanks to cultivation feedback of what he gives them. So why don’t you try to find them? It’s been like 10+ thousand years!! And this is also my first time seeing an MC who is so OP yet so weak. Every other MC can atleast leapfrog multiple realms in a fight. This guy can jump 2 MINOR realms only! No matter the realm, he is only able to leapfrog 2 minor realms. Anymore, and he will be in a disadvantage. You might say that it’s not that bad. Well, he is able to leapfrog 2 minor realms after being equipped with strong equipments! So even with external enhancements, he’s only able to jump 3 minor realms at max, and each realm is divided in 9 minor realms. It’s baffling is because he is filled to the brim with equipments. High level defensive equipment? Yes, atleast 2. High level attack equipment? Yes, atleast 1. ‘coz he uses a sword formation most times, and ends up having over 5+ high level swords plus almost a 1000 low/mid level swords. High level soul equipment? Yes. All that plus his cultivation techniques are all higher level that his opponents making his base strength and foundation stronger. How is he not able to cross more than 3 realms in a fight? Huff! Anyway, I will take a break from this and see if I want to continue reading after a few more chapters are accumulated.
Reveal Spoilerthis novel is one of the good novel for this genre but there a few problem. first, isn't mc have a simulator that simulate his disciple future then why he didn't use it for knowing where they are.2nd,why he have this wait and see attitude with his disciple, instead of addressing his disciple prob he decide to just wait and address it in the future. especially dugu aotian prone to madness and fallen to demonic dao. isn't in this world there Buddhism and taoism,i think mc can use buddhism/taoism scriptures involving mind/soul to prevent his disciple to succumb to madness.
Reveal SpoilerThe story is quite from the start but it became predictable as the story progressed and the translation is unbearable to read.
So much untapped potential. However, it's still an enjoyable read with interesting premises. Mc's personality and temperament is quite good, mature and reasonable, not a whining little bastard. The MC is smart in a few ways, not exactly an idiot, but dumb in several ways, especially in terms of creativity. The system is heavily underutilized. His and his disciples strengths and talents aren't applied to their fullest potential, having very low synergies. In addition, some of the returned rewards are questionable, especially the techniques, and I figured they are just for the plot's convenient. If the returned rewards are just (a random number)fold of the given rewards, the story would be much more interesting, as the MC has to figure out himself which technique he should give to his disciples to get a technique with desirable effects. Lastly, the story progression is kinda too fast for my taste. In short, in my opinion, the novel is interesting enough and it's enjoyable, the MC is not annoying. However, the creativity is really underwhelming, in some cases, extremely glaring, making those moments mildly frustrating, and the pace is too fast.
A fun read besides the misgendering issues and names being translated. However, to pass time it is a good.
For someone with different cultivation techniques including body refining, he such a weakling and the most annoying part is the author kept on repeating in almost every chapter on how mc is able to battle above his realm.
Why do the characters seem weaker compared to other novels? This guy has a system and he cant even instant kill those of the same level . Most frustrating sytem novel ever.
Honestly story is surprisingly good with some sect building, fighting etc mixed in. I am surprised since usually I dont like systems which give crazy rewards but this one the story keeps up and stays relevant
It might as well change its title to "Disciple Cashback System" There's plenty of times where he could have prevented something from happening by using the simulation but for some reason MC seems to have forgotten about this function of his system. And even he did use it he still let things happen. In the raws his Disciple was separated from him for 10,000 years but he barely spent an effort for finding them.
Reveal Spoiler
This is I think the best novel out of the many disciple system novels for me. The translation is good aside from the misgender issue. And the chapters are not split into 3/4 chapters.
