The fire did not spread randomly.

Vian felt a surge of irritation roaring inside her. That was her fault, she admitted to herself. A trap inside another. That was how this maze works.

However, inside of her, she noted this. A small part of her was filled with satisfaction.

Even if it was only she who could see that, the satisfaction did not lessen. A silly thought was in her head now.

Although those thoughts may have been inappropriate at that moment, Vian could not stop herself from thinking about them.
